So far everything has been working, I tested several games on the following emulators. All buttons and the trackball are working. the only button that does not work (can't map it) is the mouse 3 button X-Arcade has added as a mouse 3 button.

Emulators tested:

Mame
NES
SNES
Atari 2600
Atari ST
Daphne
Doom
All the preloaded Ports games
Sega CD

Tried the trackball with:

Missle Command
Centipede
Golden Tee

I haven't found anything that is not working yet, unless I switch to mode 3 on the tankstick.

I know from what others say, mode 4 is not supposed to work, but it works the best for me. it shows up as two xbox controllers exactly what you are seeing and the button mapping follows the xbox controller mapping seen here:

As far as the trackball, I found this on the XArcade support site, try unplugging the trackball usb and plug it in while it's up and running

PI 4: We've heard some bugs reported with various game controllers and PI 4. With X-Arcade or any game controller, unplug the game controller, or USB for X-Arcade after the PI is running, then plug back in and trackball/X-Arcade will work. This bug impacts a number of USB devices with PI 4. We have no other solutions for it until they fix.

I have all my .dat, .ogg, .m2v files and:

all the other files start with dl2-XXXX.dat, dl2-XXXX.m2v, dl2-XXXX.ogg
where XXXX is some number

In /recalbox/share/roms/daphne/roms
[ls -l]

lair2.zip

Notice every lair2 file (lair.zip, lair2.commands, lair2.txt, lair2.daphne) are all exactly the same (all lowercase)

Just as a heads up, after trying the "xarcade2jstick-rpi3" update everything on my tankstick is working as before. I tried multiple games (1 -player, dual player, track ball) I tried multiple emulators (mame, NES, SNES, Sega, Daphne)

Everything is working fine for me and like it did before the patch.

Mientras estaba en 6.1.1 tenía todo en la tarjeta SD (Recallbox, ROM, BIOS ...)

Usé una memoria USB, con formato extfat. Lo metí en mi PI 3b + y fui a configuración -> almacenamiento -> cambiado a USB

Después de reiniciar, todas las carpetas estaban en la memoria USB. (ROM, BIOS, etc., etc.)

Luego moví manualmente todo el contenido de mi tarjeta SD al USB (usando mi computadora portátil), esto se hace desde el montaje de su carpeta compartida (como si estuviera colocando ROM) pero copiando todo en la memoria USB.

Tome el dispositivo y vuelva a colocarlo en el pastel y encienda, confirme que está configurado para almacenamiento -> USB.

Ahora, usé una nueva tarjeta SD y la flasheé con RB7.0.

Arrancado, todo desapareció, ingresó a configuración -> almacenamiento -> USB y reinició.

Todo está ahí y funcionó como antes.

Funcionó muy bien para mí, espero que para ti también.

Just gave it a try and the trackball is working fine for me in mode 4.

Everything is working well.

Can someone confirm that the xarcade2jstick is the driver that handles the X-Arcade tankstick is that correct?

If I am not able to use/map all my buttons from the tankstick the xarcade2jstick is my issue?

Since version 9 when I configure a controller not all button register when I am selecting them to map. and it will not seem to map and hold a mapping for the "Hot Button" once I launch Mame. I can't not exit unless I use the KB.

Upgrade to version 9 today and my tanstick is not working correctly.

The issue I am having is the tankstick can be seen but the button mapping is off and some buttons are not seen.

I am in dip-switch #4 (X-input)

I can map all buttons, even though I map something to the hotkey selection I can not leave a game and get back to ES

Hey Guys, X-arcarde released a new controller board for the tankstick (and others) which allows to move from keyboard emulation to Directinput Mode or X-INPUT Mode.

Would that be over all a better option for Recalbox?

a question about the original version of the 1978 game Space Invaders.

Invaders.zip from what I can tell is the original arcade rom from Taito.

The game works, the sample files provide the sound correctly but there seems to be a lag when I push fire.

Honestly I am not sure I remember if that is how it worked from the original game?

Any one have a different experience with the game?

What version of rom do you have?

The reason I ask is there are versions that do that by design. The version I started with did exactly what you are describing, you just got random scenes and it never started with the draw bridge.

I went to the DLE 2.1 version and it starts with the drawbridge every time.

front he above webpage Rev A through F2 are the original rom sets. F2 is the rom set that has the 'Very Hard' setting.

With newer tank sticks there is a red button in the upper right corner that, when pressed should emulate "Mouse Button 3" but this is not available for me to map.

Ultimately I would like to make this the hot key to escape out of Mame (and other emulators).

evtest have the following for me:

/dev/input/event0: Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver
/dev/input/event1: Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver
/dev/input/event2: SIGMACHIP USB Keyboard
/dev/input/event3: HID 1241:1111
/dev/input/event4: SIGMACHIP USB Keyboard

Mouse 3 doesn't show an event on Xbox 360 (1 or 2) it only shows an event when pushed for HID 1241:1111

Is there away to get that to be mappable for the Mame menu?

If you search the forums there are a few threads on the same subject. The gist is not all games on Atari ST use controllers and the ones, once you're in the game you need to make sure there is a joystick configured. go in to the menu and make sure a joystick is being seen.

unless you put recalbox in your /etc/host table or in your routers DNS it's not going to know by host name.

Try:

what ever IP address you gave your recalbox, also like @francix said, can you ping your recalbox?

I am pretty sure you need the wifi to say connected in the menu, try turning wifi off, reboot and then turn in on and connect and see if it connects.

one connected then try

Apple Key + K
smb://192.168.1.10/share

Also, looking at your post you need the "/share" at the end of your smb mount command.

What is the error message?

You'll want to look at moving roms, bios, configs to external usb storage. This will allow you to re-image the MicroSD card with pi 4 image of 7.11 and then when you plug the usb back in and point to it in storage settings your roms and bios's will be there.
