@zing Yes, after each test, I did a factory reset from menu.

Thanks to your link I found something that changes on \SHARE\system.emulationstation\es_input.cfg

I realized that after configuring correctly:

This was changed on es_input.cfg:

<input name="r2" type="axis" id="5" value="-1" code="5" />
<input name="l2" type="axis" id="2" value="-1" code="2" />

The solution was change the values of L2/R2 from before the controller config. Restart and Kodi stop muting when pressing L2.

Don't know why configuring changes those values, I did it many times so I'm sure I pressed the correct buttons every time.

yeah, i didnt know I could change via menu.

Before configure a controller using every option, L2 on kodi was working fine.
But after configure/binding buttons all options muted.

Automatic = Muting
System Driver = Muting
Game Library Driver = Muting too.

When you change "Configure a controller" settings, which files are changed in files? It's strange this happens only after doing that.

I even changed in SHARE INIT the files that exists, but L2 continues muting.

Files aren't overwriten by kodi at start, but none of them seems to influence L2 command.

Do you have any idea on what to do next?

I installed via Raspberry Pi Imager, recalbox version 7.2.1

This problem occur after "controller buttons config" in the menu, them kodi.

I've done some factory reset to test. As image is ready I paired the PS3 controller and went to kodi, everything was working normaly. Them I configured the buttons on recalbox,....them into kodi, it started to mute again after pressing L2.

After pressing L2/R2 it keeps lowering volume until mute, like the buttons was being hold. If I press and hold again or right stick to some direction, the sound goes up, but if I release it.....sound goes all the way down again.

When entering kodi, everything works normaly, this happens if I accidentaly press L2/R2 when putting controller on couch or table.

I have 2 original PS3 controller, both doing the same thing, every button works fine in games (tested on many emulators, specialy on ps1`cause of L2,R2 and analog sticks)

I tried using the "disable button" function on kodi menu, but the buttons continue to work after disabling them.

Tried changing some keymaps.xml and Kodi folder, but no luck there.

I´m not so sure now. The slow on starting games returned, but most times recalbox is restarted, speed is fine (without the usb adapter).

I´m out of ideas what is causing this problem on a clean image.

@paradadf No problem. I just hope this is really the problem.

I will still verify if this is correct, try to plug it after recalbox is on just for testing purposes.

@paradadf After turning off and on again, it was slow again!

I tried to change everything on my tv, hdmi ports, gamer mode, everything, nothing worked.

I realized that in my other screens tests, I used ps3 controller, not my ps2 controller with twin ps2 adapter usb. Trying without it, using only ps3 via bluetooth it worked fine!

So this is the problem? Maybe I should only use that adapter when playing multiplayer with 4 controllers. It was pratical because there is no need to recharge battery. Is there anything we can do to make speed with adapter works normally?

@paradadf I´ve tryed in another tv HD, native 720p and it worked fine!

Them another test in a common pc monitor, All roms starting fine and fast.

I thought the problem could be a config on my main TV fullhd, but when I tested it, it was working fine too after the other tests, nothing was changed, not even a rom.

I really don´t understand.

@Substring I reinstalled from scratch the 4.1 img using sd card and the first tests was using the free roms. Them I added the roms of other system for testing. All roms are in the SD card

@Substring Yes it was faster than anygame that uses retroarch.

But it is a clean install from 4.1 image, and I didnt touch anything retroarch related, why the problem remains?

Nope, my slowdowns on starting the game is on any emulator, gameboy, snes, gba, mega drive etc.

But yesterday I´ve tried Dreamcast, and it ran super fast. I pressed X, recalbox zoom in the coverart, and dreamcast logo was showing on screen. It was instantly.

Not, i had that problem last year, but i bought a new power supply and the lightning icon never appeared again.

I don´t know if understanded. But my tv output is 1080p.

I did change global videomode to default, so my recalbox is always on 720p and there is no change on resolution. I thought this whould fast things up but no, still slow to startup.
