      @acris thanks for the info, any idea why it was dropped for this architecture ?

      @jorgemagana thanks, I looked in the ports folder and its not there, I also copied the cavestory folder to recalbox.local/recalbox/share/roms/ports and it was not seen by emulation station. Any body else has cavestory working on x32_64 with rb ver 7.0.1 ?

    • Cavestory missing ? (x86_64) v7.01

      Thanks for a great release, I am trying to install cavestory on rb 7.01, but the cavestory folder is missing in the roms directory. I have looked in both recalbox.local/recalbox/share/roms and
      recalbox.local/recalbox/share_init/roms. Has it been moved ? (i do remember it there in rb 6.1x)

      Does this no longer apply for x86_64?

      Thanks and keep safe.

      @paradadf much appreciated for looking into it.

    • 6.1 (x86_64) GW and X68000 emulation issue ?

      Re: X64 version and x68000

      Was this ever resolved ? Just that GW & X68000 are not working for me with recalbox 6.1 x86_64
      The last version I used with success with theses emulators was 18.06 (I skipped ver 6.0 as cec hdmi wasn`t working on x86_64)

      @strodown said in 6.1 x86_64 will not boot into GUI after update from 6.0:

      @elnino @Enigmatic_One

      • on PC it is necessary to make a fresh installation!
      • several boot issues were raised, to ensure a total boot
        you have to login in ssh to your Recalbox:
        https://recalbox.gitbook.io/tutorials/filesystem/root-access-on-terminal
        then once connect type these commands:
        mount -o remount, rw /
        and
        mv /etc/init.d/S03splash /etc/init.d/splash
        after that
        reboot
        and everything should work at best

      @strodown thanks for the tips, I had the same issue with a fresh install of 6.1 on a i5-8400T with iGPU.

      Many thanks for this build, it installs on my ASUS VivoMini VC65-C1 (i5-8400T, Intel HD Graphics 630) whereas the previous beta did not.

      It seems that recalbox-configgen is not configuring my F710 joypad in dreamcast/reicast (works fine so far in other emulators bundled in the build) I have tried re mapping the controller with no change.

      my controllerP1.cfg

    • Docker build, is upgrade to stable possible when next stable released

      I have complied a x86_64 dev build from master, using docker and the generic config which built and installed fine.

      I`m wondering when the next stable is released can I upgrade to it, or do I need to reinstall the stable image when released ?

      Reason being is that I have tried the Christmas beta , but the target box has no ethernet access whereas the dev build (built 9th Jan) has working ethernet. So I cant investigate/report issues with the Christmas build.

      Thanks.

      @felipeadms said in How to convert changes made in recalbox to .IMG?:

      @paradadf I understand, but even then I would like to know how to compile the changes made to a ".img" file image. Do you know how to do that?

      @felipeadms

      You could shrink your created image if your handy with linux by mounting the image as loopback, resizing it, then truncating it.

      @strodown Many thanks for the image. Would you mind explaining how you compiled the image ? Did you add the nvidia buildroot to the build then build it via the recallbox docker ? If so l would like to compile an image for the nvidia legacy blob to test it on a old pc I have. Cheers.

      @scottaii

      Possibly, but I`m not sure. You could try editing .xinitrc with:

      xrandr —output LVDS1 —off --output HDMI-1 --auto

      (The --auto option will turn the specified output on if it is off and set the preferred (maximum) resolution, assuming HDMI-1 is your external hdmi reported by xrandr, it may be HDMI-0 or another value.)

      In the unlikely event it does not auto detect the external display resolution you could set it by:

      xrandr —output LVDS1 —off --output HDMI-1 --mode 1920x1080

      Or force 720p:

      xrandr —output LVDS1 —off --output HDMI-1 --mode 1366x768

      https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xrandr is a good resource to find out more about xrandr. Hope it helps 🙂

    • RE: N64 small screen to left

      Hello Scott, are you using the default emulator and core for n64 ? (should be if you have not changed it) I personally have no issues with the stock autoconfiguated setup. Is your laptop display resolution the same as your hdmi TV screen (ie 1080p) ?

      default emulator/core:
      n64.core=glide64mk2
      n64.emulator=mupen64plus

      You can check this in the via the main menu > advanced > advanced emulator configuration
      or in /recalbox/share/system/recalbox.conf if accessing the the file system via ssh/scp

      My [ Video-General] section of mupen64plus.cfg from /recalbox/share/system/configs/mupen64/mupen64plus.cfg looks like this:

      [Video-General]

      Fullscreen = False
      # Width of output window or fullscreen width
      ScreenWidth = 1920
      # Height of output window or fullscreen height
      ScreenHeight = 1080
      # If true, use correct aspect ratio, if false, stretch to fullscreen
      AspectRatio = True
      # If true, activate the SDL_GL_SWAP_CONTROL attribute
      VerticalSync = False
      # Rotate screen contents: 0=0 degree, 1=90 degree, 2 = 180 degree, 3=270 degree
      Rotate = 0

      did you stop ES from root terminal from your laptop ?

      /etc/init.d/S31emulationstation stop

      then xrandr to list your displays
