First we wanted to thank you for your encouragement about the 7.2 release of Recalbox.
Also, we wanted to thank you about your relevant bug reports, helping us fixing issues as quick as possible.

The team worked hard on the 7.2.1 bugfix version and we are happy to make the third beta of this version public (aka recalbox-7.2.1-beta3)

Maybe you could help us about the test effort ? If so, please take the time to read this post carrefully.

What we fixed :

• Fix loop reboot with non official themes
• Fix compatibility with 720p themes (we have a doubt about 1080p)
• Lightgun system is shown by default if any game is detected
• Kodi video playback is back on Rpi 4
• Reicast has been removed from Rpi, PC and XU4 as this emulator does not work anymore with our new kernel and softwares versions. You can now use Flycast as the main emulator for the dreamcast.
• On PSP, with PPSSPP emulator, videos now run full speed
• Raspberry Pi 1,2,3 boot video now run full speed
• Fix arcade view systems missing model3, atomiswave, naomi, naomigd, daphné
• Duckstation has been renamed Swanstation
• Fix Swanstation issues when loading games
• Fix cavestory x86 and x86_64
• Fix House of the dead bios validation
• Add missings game extensions detection for SCV and WII
• Default language is now used when scraping
• Fix gameclip initialization on network shares
• Fix freezes when running a game while playing gameclip
• Using IPv4 in priority when connecting WIFI
• Factory reset now reset case configuration
• Fix rating componant running out of screen
• Fix sound menu & output auto-selection
• Fix Odroid Go Advance V1 gamepad detection
• Fix Super Cassette Vision scraping
• Fix rtl88x2bu Realtek wifi driver
• Fix "Forget all bluetooth devices"
• Fix pixel-perfect settings being incorrectly set in menu

How to install :

• Method 1, fresh install : Download the image and process to a fresh install with rpi-imager, like any other recalbox image.
• Method 2, upgrade from 7.2: Download the image and the corresponding sha1 and copy these two files in your boot partition (named RECALBOX), in the directory update, boot the recalbox to start the install. (please do that on a testing purpose sdcard and not on your official recalbox install)

Tout d'abord, nous voulions vous remercier pour vos encouragements à propos de la version 7.2 de Recalbox.
De même, nous voulions vous remercier pour vos rapports de bogues pertinents, nous aidant à corriger les problèmes aussi rapidement que possible.

L'équipe a travaillé dur sur la version 7.2.1 de correction des bugs et nous sommes heureux de rendre publique la troisième bêta de cette version (aka recalbox-7.2.1-beta3)

Peut-être pourriez-vous nous aider dans l'effort de test ? Si oui, prenez le temps de lire attentivement ce post.

Ce que nous avons corrigé :

• Correction du redémarrage en boucle avec les thèmes non officiels
• Correction de la compatibilité avec les thèmes 720p (nous avons un doute sur le 1080p)
• Le système Lightgun est affiché par défaut si un jeu est détecté
• La lecture des vidéos Kodi est de retour sur la Rpi 4

• Fixe l'initialisation du gameclip sur les partages réseau
• Fixe les freezes lors de l'exécution d'un jeu pendant le gameclip
• Utilisation de l'IPv4 en priorité lors de la connexion WIFI
• La réinitialisation d'usine réinitialise désormais la configuration du boîtier
• Correction de l'affichage du composant de classement en dehors de l'écran
• Fixe le menu son et la sélection automatique de la sortie
• Fixe la détection de gamepad Odroid Go Advance V1
• Fixe le scrap du Super Cassette Vision
• Fixe rtl88x2bu Realtek wifi driver
• Fixe "Oublier tous les périphériques bluetooth
• Correction des paramètres de pixel-perfect étant incorrectement définis dans le menu
• Correction de la popup de mise à jour apparaissant sur l'économiseur d'écran Gameclip
• Correction de la dissimulation d'un jeu effaçant toutes ses métadonnées
• Correction de l'affichage du thème après avoir changé de thème ou modifié les options du thème
• Correction de certains fichiers référencés dans .cue/.gdi/.m3u n'étant pas ignorés par le scraper
• Force le volume de toutes les sorties à 100
• Correction du crash lors de l'exécution d'un jeu à partir de la fenêtre de recherche

Comment installer :

• Méthode 1, fresh install: Téléchargez l'image et procédez à une nouvelle installation avec rpi-imager, comme toute autre image recalbox.
• Méthode 2, mise à jour depuis une 7.2: Téléchargez l'image image et la sha1 correspondante et copiez ces deux fichiers dans votre partition de démarrage (nommée RECALBOX), dans le répertoire update, démarrez la recalbox pour commencer l'installation (veuillez faire cela sur une sdcard de test et non sur votre installation officielle de recalbox).

@sharmuta pal i'm sorry to inform you that your 5 bucks are not paying people working on recalbox, only server that host forums, stable updates, the website, and so on.
Those same server that allows you to spit on our work with your message.

For your concern, you will be able to demand anything if you pay me the days I spend on recalbox. As I bill my clients 600$ a day, and as I worked the whole weekend on those s**ts that are not together as you said, I'll wait for your 1200$ donation, and then we will talk.

Until then, if you cannot help us with your skills, and I bet you can't, please be patient.

On va attendre d'envoyer les boîtiers à ceux qui les ont commandé et nous ajouterons les fichiers sur le site recalbox

@menaceone hello, sadly we could not continue to support kodi on GPI case, the version we compile is not compatible anymore with the drivers we use in the RPIZERO2 + GPICase image.

La N64 est emulé avec mupen64plus et ce dernier gere les manettes. Tu devrai aller voir du coté de leur site officiel

@Yuwhan-CNALBEL Pour ce qui est de l'utilisation du CPU, c'est la meme chose sur 99% des emulateurs. L'emulation est monocore, est c'est tout
La plupart du temps, le rendu audio et certains calculs peuvent êtres effectués sur un core a part, mais l’émulation de jeux en tant que telle se fait sur un seul core.

@zabi thank you for your intervention.

Of course donations are vital to recalbox and we clearly are lucky to have such a good community.
But as I already said, donation do not cover servers bill entirely (and there are not only servers to pay). And we never asked more that what we have now, because it is already very useful.

We pay the community loyalty back with hours we spend on working on recalbox, and the only thing we have in mind is "what can we do to make user enjoy recalbox more".

We are sorry that you cannot see how much we did already. But be sure that things will accelerate soon.

What happens now is that there are so many recalbox connected to our servers asking for updates that we cannot just "migrate to a new server". We are revisiting the whole way to update the system, using DNS round robin, canary deployment and more. Because of the 4000 recalbox asking for 150 mo makes 600 000 gb to serve instantly when we release stable, and a bit less when we release unstable

And this is what we are working on. And this is what we are going to achieve soon.

1 - issues are not erased, just disabled for now. I wouldn't risk lossing all the data.
2 - I tried many migrations last days and gitlab didn't copy all issues. Once it worked, I disabled issue feature on the github recalbox-os to avoid multiplication of new issues
3 - I wanted to communicate this weekend about this, because, you know, i work too.
4 - If you want us to listen to you, please watch your words, I prefere less communication than s**tty one.
5 - The official repository is now gitlab.com/recalbox/recalbox, and will will migrate issues to and from https://gitlab.com/recalbox/recalbox-support depending on their importance and nature.
