Mame vertical games at wrong aspect ratio, how to fix?

hey thanks for reading, im having problems trying to find out how can i run vertical games in mame at the correct resolution or aspec ratio, if i launch a game such as pacman, i get strechd image instead of the correct way, ive tried to set up 3/4 16/16 16/9 1/1 and nothing seems to work, so i wonder if theres a solution for this, im using recalbox on my computer with an old nvidia card on a 15 inch vga monitor, thanks for any help.

@javier-sandoval get the romset for fba_libretro and play those games on it it's the only solution that i found

i got that romset for lakka, so i guess its the same one, so i should use that romset instead en set the emo to fba libretto?

Do you mind to share the setting you are using, i allready load the romset and set the settings to , emulator to fba lbretto, core to fba2x if im not wrong, tried to use aotu and it did not worked, use the 3/4 and it didnt worked either.

@javier-sandoval the folder fba_libretro (not fba) uses the fbalpha emulator by default. So you don't need to change any core, just the right romset, as stated on the readme.txt inside the folder itself.

@javier-sandoval could you detail your recalbox version ? There was such a bug in sme very early 4.0 versions ... So I'm surprised you still experience it, my vertical games have no ratio problem

Dumb me im cofusing recalbox with batonera.linux wich uses recalbox i guess, so not sure if you guys can still help, as i tried to download a pc version of recalbox 4.01 but couldnt find a proper image to install too, all links seem to be down. So i did a fresh installation, on 2 diferent computers, put all my fba roms on the fba libretto folder and vertical games still look funny, the closes aspect ratio it gives me a good view of them its the 1/1, but i dont want to set that manually per game,hoping i can find a proper image to recalbox 4.0.1 for pc and try that instead. any ideas or comments are wellcome, i know this isnt batonera so forget about that im a scrap that distro and start fresh with recalbox 4.0.1

@javier-sandoval batocera leeches recalbox . Batocera has its own forum, so ask over there

The oc version of recalbox is only available from 4.1, which links are indeed dead as we have changed the servers architecture.
