@neb @acris for the price of free software... you'll get really amazing tools compare to what you'll get with this amount in the case of a proprietary one ;). I cannot afford to pay (and don't want to use) for a complete adobe bundle to make a little video of 20s... so I use free software, and they'll do the job., Of course I you can take advantage of a Job licence... it's another story...

I know that they are professionnal tools, and are great with lots of "one click amazing stuff"... but they are not free

You can test kdenlive, Cinnelera Openshot... and sure you will prefer adobe products.. because the way of freedom is not the easiest one !.... dark side is the easiest

The 4.1 splash intro was made using Blender, and only Blender ... What do you think of it ?

I have to admit that Blender might be one of these free tools that is as efficient as paid tools of the same category.

This intro splash is awesome, very good work (and we don't give a f**$ about the soft you used :p)!

As you seem to be very skilled, what about creating a more "neutral" splash with Recalbox logo and some nice animations?

Also, as I said in my first post, I'm building a MD so... what about another one with MD style (and the Recalbox like Acris proposed)? You would gain my eternal recognition for this

@neb @clarion "It was a simple joke at the very beginning..." that's why emoticons are made for no? to give the pitch of a discussion : In this particular case, as we were around a table with a beer, kidding us about our own opinion, skills and experiences :). That's all... I'm not grumpy but I promote free software as often as I can... to show how great they are... and remember No Recalbox if No free software...

The opening of columns in the megadrive I find super cool how the sega is done soon, first it does the contour and then color the logo in gradient way, could you do it? As for the sound, it does not have to be that noise that is the current splash, it could be a softer "plim" coin sound.
