Game-specific button mapping?

Hi,

I would like to remap (xarcade) buttons for one specific game: Devil Crush on PC Engine. Since it's a flipper game, I'd like to use side buttons to move the flips instead of direction keys for left flip and front buttons for right flip.

Is it possible to do a specific mapping for one game only, how to proceed (I'm looking for a solution on the PC Engine, but I'm also interested in a solution for other systems)?

I'm afraid you can't the flipper buttons are on 2 different players, so they can't be mixed. The only solution that comes to my mind is terribly complicated to set up, sadly

Oh, you're right, these are two different controlers !
Too bad - maybe an idea for an improvement of recalbox, adding support for 'flipper'-type games? (not that I know many, to be honest)
