Multiple systems using /share

So, this is not multi boot in the normal sense, but if I have an RPi system and a PC based system, can they share ROMs and Savegames?
Anything else? Is guess the emulators are different, but can they exist in the same directory structure with each system choosing the appropriate one, or is it best to keep some stuff local?
Thanks and Happy Christmas, I'm obviously not expecting a rush of replies today

If you have PC version and Pi version , you can keep all the roms and savesgame to the same USB key and plusg sd_card + usb Key on the pi and select external storage from USB key to have the same savestates on PC and on the pi.
@phreatic Using a network share (on a NAS for example), you can share the same /recalbox/share accross several Recalbox-es on different boards.
You may also share the same /recalbox/saves, however you might get some issues:
- We cannot guarantee the version of an emulator on different boards, even in the same version of Recalbox. So, you may face some compatibility issues
- If 2 recalboxes play the same games at the same time, they could overwrite their saves each other
