Those controllers are not compatibles yet, it needs xpadneo which is not included yet.

Just to ask, but is there a bluetooth gamepad on the face of the earth that always reconnects if it comes out of the power saving state? Because apparently you always have to physically turn the RPI4 back on otherwise it won't reconnect anymore ...

I've got an 8bitdo SN30, PS3 and PS4 that work flawlessly. Microsoft gamepad support is more or less stable...
Even Nintendo Switch joycons connect back without issue. -

Even Nintendo Switch joycons connect back without issue.I have sf30pro + (fw updated), rpi4 and recalbox 8 stable.
Everytime sf30 goes into power saving, is impossibile to reconnect again without restart rpi4.I don’t understand how is it possibile that you haven’t any issue…is sf30pro different from sn30?
-
@davidb2111 just bought sn30, but on rpi4 and recalbox 8, situation doesn’t changed. Randomly, after some games, is impossibile to reconnect ANY controller (virtual, bt, cabled) if primary is turned off or is in power saving mode.

@charger Please make sure it is not firmware related as described here:

https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/25352/recalbox-8-0-beta/41For sure is not, cause it affect even virtual controller and wired controller. Even virtual gamepad doesn't works after first controller was turned off.

@pitch64 It is posible to install xpadneo?
-
@rebok232 It won't work - https://gitlab.com/recalbox/recalbox/-/issues/1609

Hi @rebok232
Unfortunately, we had to postpone xpadneo. This needs testing and nobody in the dev team nor beta team's got a compatible gamepad.

@zing Sure!

Hi @charger
Is your RPI4 in a case? We have users that reported bluetooth/wifi issues with some of them.

@davidb2111 Everything works well with batocera, everything doesn't works (but the first load) on recalbox.
So the problem IS recalbox.
Again: when gamepad is disconnect, every next controller with every connection doesn't works: bt, usb, virtual gamepad, everything doesn't works anymore.
Just formatted and reinstaller from scratch three times...no solutions, but is here to see, I cannot understand how you don't be able to reproduce this issue.
- play one game
- exit with start+select
- turn off BT gamepad
- turn on BT again
- CRASH -> every controller doesn't works anymore, doesn't matter connection type: usb, bt, virtual

It is posible to use xboxdrv?
-
I had the same problem, then I changed to system driver instead of auto in controller settings then I rebooted now it works for me.
I have a rpi4 with recalbox 8 and a PS3 controller
Hope it works for someone else -
@matso yours controller is wireless? Can you try to disconnect and reconnect after exiting game? Does it works again?
-
@charger yes it is connected via Bluetooth, and before I changed the driver I had the exakt issu as described here. Now I can connect and disconnect and connect again and working
-
@matso could you please tell me exact model of your gamepad?
