XBOX Series S/X Controller not pairing with Recalbox 7.2.2

I have an XBOX Series X/S Controller (QAU-00021), an XBOX Wireless Adapter (6HN-00002), a Raspberry PI 400, and Recalbox 7.2.2. I cannot get the wireless controller to pair. I see some old posts about this, but nothing regarding Recalbox 7.2.2. Re: XBOX Series S/X Controller not pairing with Recalbox 7.1 I tried clearing the ERTM as so many posts have referenced, using a modprobe fix or a script update, and none of these things worked. The issue lies in the version of SDL used. There was a fix issued in the SDL, now almost a year ago that needs to be integrated. https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=SDL2-Xbox-Series-X-Controller Some have had luck installing new xpadneo drivers, but on another retro emulation platform that shall not be named. I thought that buying the XBOX Wireless Adapter (6HN-00002) would be a stop-gap. The light on the adapter doesn't even turn on when plugged into the Pi 400. The adapter works fine pairing the controller with a Windows 10 laptop. This has been a problem with Recalbox over a year now. If there are no fixes for this, is there any way I can help move Recalbox forward? I have some extra time, and I have experience writing firmware.

This has been a problem with Recalbox over a year now. If there are no fixes for this, is there any way I can help move Recalbox forward? I have some extra time, and I have experience writing firmware. Perhaps, I recommend that you check if any of the open issues are related to this problem:

Update: I tested the same setup with Recalbox 7.3-Beta10 with the same issues. There was one notable difference with the wired USB connection: Recalbox recognized my XBOX Series X controller (QAU-00021) as an "Xbox One Series X Controller" instead of as a, "Generic X-Box Pad", which is still in my controller settings. Interesting, but still the same problems and symptoms with wireless. I also learned that the rather new xow driver would need to be integrated into Recalbox for a XBOX Wireless adapter to work, although I honestly don't know if my SKU (6HN-00002) is supported. It might be too new. Thank you @Zing for the suggestion, I will take a look for open issues related to this problem. Can I keep posting here with my findings?

Can I keep posting here with my findings? Yes, there's no problem posting here, but I usually recommend using the forum to confirm if it's really a bug or mishandling by the user, and, when confirming a bug, use the issues to make it easier for developers:
Developers can't check every forum post to look for bugs, and likewise, it wouldn't do for everyone who thinks they have a bug to open issues, because the volume would be huge.
The forum should serve as an exchange of experiences and support, but also as a filter, and issues should be used to resolve real bugs (which is a much smaller volume).
