You need to read the documentation concerning the system you wanna use.
PSX : here for PSX
Read also the readme file in the psx folder.
After you use this doc, if you still problems, don't forget to detail your board (PiXX, XU, or PC - CPU&GPU etc...).
Get the right bios, check its md5 signature, get good roms/isos. For the PSX romset, the Redump one is recommanded.
