@tyrell Your're right the GPI screen is better, it doesn't bother me personally. I wanted to love the GPI but Recalbox isn't there yet, so I decided on a $50 all-in machine with great L/R buttons, quick boot, standard USB-C charging, no AA batteries. It's just fun, as opposed to work. PSX emulation with overclock seemed as good as GPI to me (which is to say, OK but not amazing). Love recalbox on my Pi, and hope it runs great for everyone in a few months' time.

@sibobbbe I fixed my issue. I just allowed my router to accept the MAC address of the GPI case and i was able to transfer over my files. Works great now.

@sibobbbe indeed I have tried several ps1 games on the rg300 and speed is quite decent I'd say ! I'm really surprised at the performance and the devs probably have optimized the emulator a lot. Hats off to them !
All in all, it's my favorite emulation handheld for the moment. Ok, same cpu as the ldk for example, but ergonomics are better and the L/R buttons are very neat.

Compared to customized images like Supreme GPi, Recalbox isn't quite there yet in terms of performance on the GPi case.

Don't get me wrong, I love Recalbox, I have both my home arcade and a custom mini cab running it, but this beta doesn't cut it IMHO.

Let's give time to the devs, in a couple of weeks/months it should be as good as usual.

The beta 4 is more a pre-release than a new beta.
There is new emulators, EmulationStation optimizations, etc...
Regarding the GPi version itself, the most important change is the sound: it should no longer saturate or suffer heavy distortion.

Hi ich habe die beta 4 installiert - aber wen ich in denn System Menü sage spiel Liste aktualisieren dann bleibt im dem Schwarzen Recalbox screen Stecken. das gleiche passiert wen ich über das Menü ( Nicht immer ) Neustart oder abschalten sage. ich habe schon ein neu install versucht das problem bleibt bestehen ...... oh und beim versuch zu Scrappen kommt die sd karte wäre voll sagt man dann abrechen hängt es sich auch auf!

@paradadf, no I didn’t, but I also didn’t blame anybody so please no need to patronise.

But if you want to start a discussion, in my opinion UI and UX have to adapt to human and not the contrary.
It is well know in 2019 that people don't read more than 3 to 5 words before moving next line.

If it can improve communication, the warning should have said;
DON’T USE THE INTERNAL UPDATE option until the final 6.1 is available

Good luck with 6.1 final you are doing a great job.

PS : Is it the place to post issues and logs ?

@bernie-ran I didn’t try to patronise anyone and I certainly didn’t want to start a discussion. But I’ll tell you something... no one on the team has english as his native tongue, so you can’t expect every formulation to be perfect. It is more than understandable though, and if someone takes the time to write something (on the first post, which anyone should read, always), the least I can expect is for someone else that tries to use the stuff there is to read it.
And yes, this is the place for anything related to the beta.

@paradadf salut and all good, english is not my mother tongue but I have a little knowledge in UI/UX.
As guideline it is good practice to put the important meaning of a message in the 5 first words.

Par exemple: "Merci et bravo aux benevoles pour tout votre travail sur Recalbox".

Since I upgraded to beta 4 my connection (Wifi) is pretty instable.

I’ve setup Network settings and connect properly.
I can see the RECALBOXGPI on my Windows Network, I can connect FTPS, I can access to the shell through SSH. I start Skraper and at some point the connection turn to be instable and cut-off. Windows says there is problem (Diagnose?) or I got a blue spinning wheel, etc.

I had to re-run several time Skraper for the same system to have all the games scrapped.
It didn’t happen with Beta3.
