@tyrell Your're right the GPI screen is better, it doesn't bother me personally. I wanted to love the GPI but Recalbox isn't there yet, so I decided on a $50 all-in machine with great L/R buttons, quick boot, standard USB-C charging, no AA batteries. It's just fun, as opposed to work. PSX emulation with overclock seemed as good as GPI to me (which is to say, OK but not amazing). Love recalbox on my Pi, and hope it runs great for everyone in a few months' time.

@iggy310 I haven't I'm afraid! Just adding games exactly per instructions shouldn't result in the entire GPI interface disappearing. I hope it's fixed for you eventually. I gave up on the GPI, too much tinkering for me, bought an RG300 which just works for what I want without fuss.

@maldorhan I got snes games to run by switching to Snes9x then switching back to pisnes. Sometimes it took a couple of tries. Weird but it works

RE: [GPi Case] Recalbox 6.1 Beta 4 (pre-release) - New Public Beta!
I have an issue where sometimes, after simply adding some games via Finder (I'm on mac) it takes five minutes to boot, then boots into full Recalbox, not the GPI version.
This has happened twice and seems totally random. Both times I've had to start from scratch with a new installation. Is anyone else having this issue? Any ideas? Thanks

@acris Oh that's a shame, but thanks appreciate the reply

Does anyone know of a way to disable the Recalbox ‘loading’ screen with Pac-Man? I’d prefer if it were just black! Thanks

RE: 4.1 Mame scraping doesn't save
@substring It was restart, not fast shutdown, but I guess it must be the same thing.
Oh I see the warning is on 'fast shutdown', which I'd never done before. It should be on restart because the same applies.

RE: 4.1 Mame scraping doesn't save
@substring Thanks for your reply. I'm not using a USB key.
I solved it, finally. Turns out EmulationStation doesn't save data to gamelists if you restart after scraping. I have to fully shut down the system for it to save the data.
Is this just for me? I tried it on a brand new installation and it was the same case, but I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, which I found strange since it's such an easy issue to replicate.

4.1 Mame scraping doesn't save
It finds every ROM perfectly, with great images, for all systems (what a relief after thegamesdb.net scraper!) but on every reboot, it resets back to a list and seems to have lost all the scrape data for Mame. edit - NES too.
I get a warning when scraping that "Some of your selected systems do not have a platform set" But I don't know what it means, everything does seem set up right, and was before 4.1!
Any ideas? Thanks

RE: Re-scraping individual roms after an automated scrape
@paradadf Thanks, and sorry to reply so late, I never received a notification about it. I was brand new to recalbox, was scraping via Emulationstation. I've since discovered the fullscrape method, and also that select button allows rescraping of individual titles.
