@twh_pi black borders are likely due to the integer scale

          Hi

First of all, I think Recalbox really Great and would like to Thank all those responsible for this Project!

I'm new at this Forum and would be glad if someone could answer my questions:-).

I have an Odroid C2 and use it in an RetroFlag nespi case +, so my question is it possible to use the safe shutdown and reset button?
With my Pi 3B + it works perfectly but with the C2 i just can not get it to work.

On the C2, the edge of the picture is cut off. And despite overscan, I can not change that.
And when I go to config.txt it shows me a blank page.

Am I doing anything wrong with the C2?
With the Pi 3B + everything works great.

          Thank you in advance:-)!

            Hello,
Le format.bin ne fonctionne pas sur atari5200 en RC3 sur Raspbery pie 3b
Merci par avance pour votre travail.
            Jérôme.

@voljega thanks. I was not aware of that concept. I actually digged deeper into the resolution discussions and found out the "CEA 4 HDMI" mode (config.txt, recalbox.conf) produced the best result for my RpiB3+ / Samsung TV Set. I tested it with 'Atari 5200 Decathlon scroller'. perfectly smooth experience. (with pixel perfect:off, size:16/9 and shader: scanline)

But I think it's not related to RC3. so stopping the discussion now.

@twh_pi yeah i also deactivate it, it is mainly for hardcore purists, I find it better without it, especially for arcade game and scanlines for which it creates much problem

                  RC3 Bug?

I've noticed that Atari800 always executes in Atari 800XL, 64KB, NTSC. It doesn't help to manually save the configuration, because the retroarch/atari800_libretro.so is parametrized/configured by the emulatorlauncher.

While NTSC should be the default for Atari 5200 (AFAIK only NTSC version ever existed), NTSC should not be the default for Atari800. In fact there should be at least somehow the possibility to choose / default the desired machine and it's memory configuration independent of the 5200:

                  PAL/NTSC:
                  Atari 800 48kB
                  Atari XL/XE 64kB
                  Atari 130XE 128kB
                  Atari XL/XE 1088kB ("Rambo")

To me, Atari 130XE, 128kB, PAL would be the most common / most compatible "Atari800 Emulator" machine.

                  Opinions?

                    RC3 Bug?

The Atari2600 and other Atari-joystick-compatible consoles e.g. Master System, Mega Drive have the "Joystick-Trigger" by default on Button "B".

With Atari800 (800,5200) the default Joystick-Trigger is on Button "A". It should be the same like in Atari2600 with Button "B".

This is confusing especially in combination with the EmulationStation Menu (select/trigger is here with "B").

                    Opinions?

@twh_pi this is a libretro/retroarch thing (default mapping).
                      https://docs.libretro.com/library/atari800/#controller-tables

If you think is incorrect, please open an issue about it on libretro’s github page.

                        @twh_pi atari800 has a special config indeed.
Could you please open an issue on our gitlab page, with all the details, so we don’t forget about it and can discuss what’s better and how to improve it? Thanks!

                          Hi Guys,
I have a problem with different mame games.
For example the game 64th Street work well only with the core Mame2010, so I push the select button and select the correct core and save, but after restarting everything returned in default core.

                          How I can fix this?

@federiko By reading arcade documentation on the wiki. You're doing it wrong.

I think i have a RC3 bug on my Intel bean canyon i7 NUC running the PC 64bit build. Doesn't matter what I do with the wifi settings, I can't get it to connect - there are no errors on screen, the machine will simply just stays at "NOT CONNECTED". Correct SSID and WPA2 key are set, and I've tried rebooting a couple times. Running a clean RC3 image, bone stock settings.

                              Maybe a bug?

Don't know this solution helps for PC version, but for Pi it works fine most time:

Change wifi region from "US" to some european value (FR, DE, AT,...) in recalbox.conf

May I ask what you can tell about running recalbox on such NUC in general? Is it working well? Is it possible to emulate GameCube and Wii smoothly? I'm sometimes thinking about buying an NUC for emulation, but don't know if it's worth at all...

                                Pi 4:
                                Sony DualShock 4 (2nd gen), 8BitDo Pro 2, 8BitDo SF30 PRO, Retroflag SUPERPi 4 Case, Recalbox 9.0

                                Pi Zero 2W:
                                GPi Case 2W, Recalbox 9.0

                                  @lhari84 Unfortunately that didn't work. 😞

I haven't yet tried the NUC with gamecube/WII, but I actually bought it because it seemed it would play PS2 games, unfortunately it's not quite up to the task - however I would think Gamecube at least would be very smooth.

Hi, when I start the scrapper, ES, restart but ... freeze on the recalbox logo release version & date + pacam ghost.
RPI3 freshly installed, let me know if you need more.

@kbz please don't use the internal scraper. It'll be removed in the final release and has to be rewritten.

when I do a scraper it gets black screen and I have to restart the system, and the retroarch does not save the settings nor the shaders, netplay is very slow, it takes too long to enter
