I'm not sure if this is a recalbox issue or hardware issue but sometimes when I restart my pi 3b+ the flash drive is no longer recognized and the internal storage is used. After reboot, it goes back to using the flash drive. Also on occasion the wifi doesn't auto connect on boot up, I have to turn wifi off and then back on. I'm also still having an off issue that even though I did a fresh install on an SD card of the latest beta and a black SD card, the 3 NES games that I tried using before won't but, all new games do boot. It's almost as if there is something residual Stoll there even after formatting. It's frustrating because the roms were working and then they just stopped. I will try a total format on next release and hopefully that fixes the issue. Also the scraper can't find certain games even thought I know they are in the database. Most likely not a recalbox problem.

the new beta-version is really great
the most of all works great. i use pi3+ with 4gb sd for booting, and 128gb stick for system and roms data and a x360 controler.

is it possible to change the dreamcast language from french to a other language?
all eu images plays french, but i need german.
when I go to the dreamcast menu with x + y + a + b and then start, i can select the language in the configuration, but saving is not possible - only black screen when i will start the game

one more question:

I use a 4:3 tube tv (for more 80s feeling) over a hdmi2av Adapter. The most emulators works great and in full screen, and its amazing. But amiga an daphne will not works perfect. black boarders left and right. Is it possible to change the aspect ratio for this emulators somehow?

all eu images plays french, thats not so good for me.

Your bios file is french. Install bios coresponding to your language of choice

with this last joystick, select + start doesn't exit on amiberry emulator.

I thought the bios is anyway region-free

I solved in this way:

2. Adjust date/time and select your language
3. Erase the two memory card (Only first time)
4. DO NOT GO back to "game", simply exit from menu with hotkey button on your pad.

Ok. Next game start will be in your language!
If you don't want lost your save games, you can manually save files vmu_save_A1.bin and vmu_save_A2.bin from share/saves/dreamcast/reicast and restore after the above procedure.

Hello everybody!
Today I made a fresh install of latest beta (feb 24), but can not start Kodi, after pressing launch button, immediately returned to main Recalbox screen.

Wifi is working fine, roms are working fine. Gamepads are configured and working fine.

With previous Beta, Kodi was working without problems.

System:
Rasp 3b+
Micro SD 32gb Kingston for OS
USB 32gb Kingston for Roms
Generic USB gamepad PS2 style.

Tried with the usb and without the usb.

Edit: if I start Recalbox only with a keyboard connected, I can start Kodi. Then plugged the USB gamepad, and configured buttons inside Kodi, but when restarting only with gamepad connected, same problem: can not start Kodi.

Hello sirs,

I can confirm the bug with Kodi. After a fresh install of the last beta (2019-02-23), launching Kodi leads back to ES. Remapping the pad (Shanwan PS3 BT for me) doesn't change anything, same behavior : back to ES.

The workaround I've found is to start Kodi by default when I turn On the Raspberry : Kodi launch automatically, I can use the PS3 pad and watch movies as usual (without remapping). When I quit Kodi, I'm back to ES and can play games, no problem with pad (no remapping needed). BUT, when I try to restart Kodi, same behavior : back to ES. I need to restart the Raspberry to reach Kodi.

My setup for this test : RPI3B (no B+), Sandisk card, one Shanwan PS3 pad on external BT dongle, fresh install, default roms and default setup.

The previous release did not behave this way.

Bonjour, je rencontre une difficulté avec la nouvelle Beta de février. jusqu'alors en beta de noel tout fonctionnait impec, à présent je n'arrive plus à remplir convenablement mon écran avec les jeux. Si j'effectue les mêmes réglages dans le .conf qu'auparavant, à savoir globalvideomode: default et ratio à 5/4 je me retrouve avec un écran de jeux minuscule rectangulaire au milieu...
J'ai tenté bien des combinaisons dans le videomode et le rato..en vain. le mieux que j'obtiens c'est une bande haute et basse noire résiduel, en ratio auto.

Hello!

First of all, thank you for your hard work on this beautiful piece of software!! I've tried all the betas so far everytime with a fresh install, nonetheless there are still bugs in the latest beta (24.02.2019) I've come across:

1. Pairing the 8bitdo SF30Pro doesn't work right after booting from a fresh install. The controller is recognised in the list of BT devices, but when chosen cannot be paired, no matter what I do (Forget BT controller, System restart, etc.). When I change the system language though (in my case to german), the controller can be paired instantly after the system reboot with no problems!
2. As some users already mentioned, Kodi isn't working anymore (was ok with the last beta). When starting Kodi, the system goes back to ES after a short black screen.
3. WLAN / WiFi connection isn't established on every boot. I can't figure out what makes the difference. Sometimes it's there, sometimes not. This has been a problem through all the betas, although I think with the last beta connection is established more often.
4. Release dates of games are still not scraped from screenscraper, though they are in the database.
5. Maybe not this important: The update check is done, even if the switch for automatic check is set to "off"; at least when the system goes online the first time.

@the-headz about your 1. point:
The safest and probably proper way to pair the controller is to start it in in the right mode, i.e. Start + B, and then put the controller in pairing more pressing the little button for a few seconds on top of the controller. The lights will start turning on and off in carrousel. Only then try to pair the controller in ES.

bon je me suis amusé avec l'émulation Amiga et surtout les whdload , alors j ai testé plus de 150 jeux et je peux vous dire que les whdload ecs et aga fonctionnent très bien , mais la ou j ai rencontré le plus gros problème c'est les whdload cd32 qui eux ne fonctionne pas tous , alors je me suis dit pourquoi ne pas tester les jeux amiga cd32 et je me suis aperçu que certain jeux marcher en amiga cd32 et pas en whdload , et que certain jeux whdload et cd32 avaient le meme problème , donc la je me doute très bien que cela viens directement de l'émulateur amiga et pour aller plus loin j ai même tester ces jeux directement avec un émulateur sur pc et certain jeux on le meme problème sur le pc donc il va falloir attendre une nouvelle version qui pourrait améliorer l émulation ^^
sinon certain jeux amiga cd32 demande 6 mo pour fonctionner mais la il est configurer sur 1 mo donc je voudrais savoir comment faire pour configurer sur 6 mo de memoire , j ai essayer de mettre plus de mémoire mais quand je quitte le menu il retourne directement au menu des jeux donc je voudrais savoir comme faire pour mettre plus de mémoire et sauver cette configuration meme si je dois la sauvegarder pour tous les jeux amiga cd32.

Sinon les whdload cd32 ça n'a pas vraiment d'intérêt maintenant qu'on a l'emulation cd32 directe

Super beta que celle du 24/02 !

• PSX : stable pour la majorité des jeux (ISO et PBP)

• PSP : tout est nickel, les jeux qui ne passaient pas précédemment marchent bien ici (ISO et CSO) ; ralentissements sur jeux gourmands comme Ace Combat X

• 3DO : émulation lente mais c'est du à l'émulateur il me semble

• Amiga CD32 : émulation correcte bien que parfois quelques ralentissements (par ex sur Ultimate Body Blows en ISO)

• Dreamcast : beaucoup de jeux passent bien, certains rament comme les 2 Crazi Taxi (en CDI), en revanche on doit systématiquement passer par la case horloge avant de jouer

En fait, sur certains jeux gourmands, notamment en 3D, on remarque de forts ralentissements, le Pi étant limité en puissance (CPU correct mais GPU ancien -le VideoCore IV est 4 fois moins puissant qu'une Geforce 6800 sortie il y 15 ans ) ; si pour la 3D ça saccade, en revanche peu de ralentissements sur les jeux en 2D (peut-être quelques bugs graphiques mais rien de bien méchant).

Je continue mes investigations...

@virus-man ben du coup justement utilise le en iso sur la cd32 et pas le whdloadcd32, ou alors utilise la version aga ou ecs si tu veux absolument le whdload
