Manually editing gamelist.xml is not persistent

Hi,

I want to copy my gamelist.xmls from another recalbox installation over to a new one. Everytime I copy them via smb share and replace the xmls the revert back to state they had before I selected "update gamelist" in the UI settings menu. any idea how to replace those xmls manually?

@marcdk you must stop ES before trying to edit the gamelist.xml

and how do I do that?

@marcdk connect over ssh and type:
/etc/init.d/S31emulationstation stop
Use start instead to start it again.
