Samples in MAME 2010

Updated my romset to use mame2010 instead adv.mame and... audio file in Samples folder didn’t work (tank battalion). Game runs without sound. That’s strange because advancemame runs it correctly. What could be a reason?

@sashathewhite is it the only game without samples ? are you sure about the path for samples for that core ?

@substring At the moment it is, the only game. About the Samples path - of course i'm not sure. There is no path for Mame 2010, only Mame 2003.

I believe the sample path is the same folder you have the zipped ROM file in.
Although it should then work with sound, the samples file will unfortunately show up as a game.
Can you try putting the file there?
If it works im sure a script can redirect the "lookup" and you can move it elsewhere

The good news is that one of the main developper of mame2003-libretro started working on this core, so i guess there will be a lot of improvements in the near future.
