Hi! Welcome to the recalbox family! I don't know what program you used to burn your recalbox image. I use ApplePi Baker for OSX and there is an option to make a complete backup of your sd-card. Be aware that it makes large backups. If you have a 32 Gb card, it will make a 32 Gb file nomatter if your card is only 10% full. But it's safe and it works!

Hello if you are using windows, try Win32DiskImager. And if you are using Linux DD command should be your friend.

Hi Guys & thanks for the rapid reply! So once recalbox has been installed on the SD card, it turns into an image (Sorry, noob here!) then I can just create a copy of that image and burn it to an SD card with Win32DiskImager?? If so, I love you guys. Thanks.

Yes indeed, once your system has been installed on your SD card, you can use Win32DiskImager, to copy every partitions on your SD card. You'll obtain a file *.img that is a full backup of your system. So if you need to restore your backup, you have just to use the same software, select your file *.img, select your SD card formated in FAT32 and use the "write function" of Win32DiskImager. https://rpi.tnet.com/project/faqs/backups/restoring

if i do it the win32 disk image way -> in case of a transfer from a 16GB micro sd to 64GB would it be still like iam working with a 16GB micro sd after writing the 16GB backup onto the 64GB one?   edit: case was like discribed > you have to resize the partitiontable for example via gparted 😄

you need to extend manually the share partition of your SD with a partition tool like gparted with linux or minitool partition wizard. see https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/toolbox-(EN)

perhaps the tool destroped the partition table ! try to fix it with the same tool.
