Solved Added megadrive roms, emulator doesn't show

Could it have something to do with the filesystem being read only? I've had to open a file manager as root in order to transfer files from my computer to the SD card

Linux OS ?

Have you read this doc ? https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Manual-(EN)#network

@cazeysan Yes I'm currently running Ubuntu Mate

Path roms is /recalbox/share/roms/megadrive
Not share_int. -

Not share_int.Hi, I've been without internet for a couple of days. I went to /recalbox/share/ and there was no roms directory. I created the roms/megadrive/ folders and added all the .gen files, then I rebooted the system and updated the game list.... STILL NOTHING.

@CaffeineFiend: Did you put the SD card into your PC and copied the roms there? Because I think that /recalbox/share is a different partition that is being mounted on boot of recalbox. You better copy them via the network if you didn't do so anyway.

@Robsdedude How do I do that? With an ethernet cable?
-
@Robsdedude I found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcTfOHIDp_c and I'll attempt to make it work. How come it doesn't pick up the files when these are transferred by the method I used? Seems a little silly?

I finally have it working! Thanks a lot! Next step is to change the looks of the interface

@CaffeineFiend: It is actually possible to add the roms directly with the SD card put into your PC but it's not a trivial task. You have to mount the right partition to make it work. Using the browser or the network share in your file browser is the much easier and preferable way to do it.
