Wiring the Mega Drive C button to Y solved the problem... I had it wired to Select (because why not? :P)
Maybe it should be written in the guide?

@supernature2k I'm refurbishing an old arcade cabinet, using the original controls, which limits me to 3 buttons. I am therefore only going to emulate the Mega Drive, as it's perfect for this scenario. I will try connecting it to Y.
I've been following this guide when connecting wires to the GPIO pins. The original Mega Drive / Genesis controller has an A-B-C button layout.
The guide says nothing about the C button, nor does the emulationstation setup. How do I configure the C button? Do Y configure it as X, Y, Select?
Thanks!
I finally have it working! Thanks a lot! Next step is to change the looks of the interface
@Robsdedude I found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcTfOHIDp_c and I'll attempt to make it work. How come it doesn't pick up the files when these are transferred by the method I used? Seems a little silly?
@Robsdedude How do I do that? With an ethernet cable?
@acris said in Added megadrive roms, emulator doesn't show:
Path roms is /recalbox/share/roms/megadrive
Not share_int.
Hi, I've been without internet for a couple of days. I went to /recalbox/share/ and there was no roms directory. I created the roms/megadrive/ folders and added all the .gen files, then I rebooted the system and updated the game list.... STILL NOTHING.
@cazeysan Yes I'm currently running Ubuntu Mate
Could it have something to do with the filesystem being read only? I've had to open a file manager as root in order to transfer files from my computer to the SD card
@cazeysan I've added the megadrive .gen files (other romset had .zip files) under root0/recalbox/share_init/roms/megadrive
I added the Sega Master System roms (.sms files) under root0/recalbox/share_init/roms/mastersystem next to the two prepackaged roms.
