Emulateur n64 not working
-
Hi guys! I have a rasp3, when i launch n64 game, i have a small black screen then it comes back on game list.
I read all your forum, i tryed to change video setting to n64.videomode=DMT 4 HDMI in tv service. Nothing change.
I can't connect in ssh because wifi say disconnectes (it's another problem), but i try to change the file nano emulatorlauncher.sh in order to change /recalbox/scripts/runcommand.sh 4 with a 2 instead of 4, but when i try to save, it says file read only, can't overwrite. Does anyone have any idea? Have a nice days guys! -
There is no need to change the 4 anymore. You need to use uncompressed roms. Are you?
-
Thanks for your answer.
Yes i do, i unzip all my roms before to transfer them on my external hdd. -
Looks like you are using version 4 of recalbox. I don't know what you're trying to achieve, but most chances are that you don't need to edit anything BUT make sure you configured L and R on your pad
-
Shouldn't i use this version? I check my input, i add l1 l2 r1 r2 in controller menu from emulstation menu, and still can't make n64 games works.
-
Does your monitor supoprt DMT4 ? Are you sure of your roms ?
-
No idea what dmt4 is! How could i know? It's an lcd computer monitor.
I test with like 10 roms, they worked on pc with n64 emulator mupen or other.

Please, read the bottom of this wiki page and paste the ouput of tvservice here
https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Video-configuration-detailled-(EN)Type this two commands:
tvservice -m CEA
tvservice -m DMT -
There is my result, and my recallbox.conf
http://imgur.com/a/ZVoAkI notice in recallbox/system/config, i can't find any folder related with mupen64/mupen64plus.cfg or anything ralted with these file. Like if there is no "n64" emulator.
Is it normal?

I tryed to reinstall everything from zero, still not working.
-
please launch this script :
/recalbox/scripts/recalbox-support.sh
then give us the generated archive. -
I have this same issue. rPi3 running 4.0b5. Can't get any N64 games to run.
TV supports DMT4, 6 and 9 and CEA1, but setting any of them explicitly doesn't make a difference. Running uncompressed roms, even tried from different sources.
Support file can be found here.

@IOIIOOO
your game has L2 and R2 buttons, if no, you must try with gamepad with L2 and R2 buttons like xbox gamepad or dualshock gamepadand if you had gamepad with L2 and R2 you must configure in emulationstation theses buttons and use this gamepad for N64 games has 1 controller
disabled all gamepad without L2 and R2 buttons and try again.

@acris Yes! There was a USB controller I didn't realize was still hooked up!
