I'm currently creating a table to have a full overview of the compatibility list from fba_libretro 0.2.97.38 and mame2003 (0.78) with Recalbox in the different Pi's. The work is huge, but everyone would benefit from it. And that would be something anyone that said "I would like to help but don't have any coding skills" can help with.

@paradadf there is already the existing BestArcade4Recalbox list although not perfect, it is pretty complete.

What more do you want to add or improve ?

It would be sad to restart from scratch

@voljega yes, and it is super useful. But I see "my" table as a complement, not a replacement. I will post it here soon enough, but it is basend on the compatibility list I found on the 'managing roms' page from Retropie. Your list tells wich game is better under the different cores for the romsets. My list tells wich game doesn't start, work ok, or has (minor o major) issues (which idea I took from your list). But mine doesn't tell you (for two working cores) wich one performs better (as your list does). Anyway, I'm currently half-way through the complete fba romset for RPi2.
One more thing. I tested every single game under Recalbox, haven't assume the information of Retropie's list was right (which wasn't always the case).
