KODI shortcut alongside game system shortcuts

Is it possible to use a icon shortcut on the main screen rather than having to press X to launch kodi? If so, any advice on how to do this?  It would be much friendlier for my 4 year old daughter and my wife. Thank you

Unfortunately I don't have your answer, i'm only responding in hopes someones notices and answers this. Your reason is the exact reason i would like this as well. I don't want the start on X because I accidentally hit that button, my girlfriend has issues figuring out how to start KODI from ES when I forget to switch it.

Are you talking about a menu entry on Emulationstation to enter Kodi? Haven't you notice the very first entry when you press start? Or maybe you have disable it on system options? Anyway, the option already exists.
