Problems with MAME Service Menu!

Hi!

I can press F2 to enter the MAME service menu, but I am not able to navigate into any of its selections. If I press enter on the keyboard, it navigates up and down, but I have tried every key, and can't get INTO the menus.

Something I read said to press F2 and then F3, but that didn't work either ...
