Neo Geo stopped working after last update and SNES theme as well
-
@barbudreadmon thanks, I'll look for the logs, but it was working flawlessly before the update.
-
I tried to look up on the logs without any sucess...
-
I have had issues as well. Does Dreamcast work on yours still by any chance?

In the first place, the main reason for games not loading in FBNeo is bad romsets, probably for 99.99% of the cases.
If you can't check logs to see which romset is bad, you'll have to use clrmamepro instead, or give up on using FBNeo.
Again, if all your neogeo games stopped working, it seems logical that the wrong romset isneogeo.zip
, replace it by the right one for fbalpha/fbneo and you'll probably be ok. -
I have the exact same problem! I've tried other cores to no success, putting a new neogeo.zip in the /roms folder, and editing the recalbox.conf.

thanks everyone
I managed to fix the problem with the SNES metadata and it was a gamelist problem (that was perfect before the update, lloks likesomething had broke it)
On the NeoGeo problem, the weird part is thatit was working before, but i've been reading something on default core changing on this version or something like that.
I'll look onto your tips and return

@barbudreadmon I've never got to understand how the romset works but I'm strugglind to find new files
-
Neogeo use fbneo always with romset fba 0.2.97.44.
Try to put neogeo.zip in
bios/fbneo
orbios/fba libreto
-
@pepeu the core name changed from fba to fbneo. One thing you can try and might solve your issue is the following:
- Edit metadata of one previously working rom
- Change the default core and emulator to (the same) fbneo and libretro, to force the use of it.
- Save and try again.
It might be that your gamelist.xml from 6.0 had some troubles in the upgrade and, even if it shows you the default config of emus, it has an error.
If that solves the isue I’d just delete the gamelist.xml (after stopping ES) and rescraping the system.

@paradadf I've had the same idea and it's a nice one. I tried that. Even changing to another and returning to neo to make sure that something changed, but it didn't solve the problem.
Thanks for your help!
