Ah, sorry, my fault: I have the newest version, just mixed the numbers.

@alfajackal You did not even say in what hardware you are having problems (Rp0,1,2,3,3 +? / PC? / Odroid?) ...
Did you install the system yourself, or downloaded a ready-made image, or bought the system already recorded?
Have you researched the forum to ensure that this is not a problem that already has a solution?

            @zing I have a RPi2 with the Latest image from https://archive.recalbox.com/

Unfortunately I did not find any proper solution when searching for WiFi in the forum. That is why I opened this thread.

Before I switched to the latest release I had an old 4.0.0 installed and everything ran very well with my Edimax Wifi dongle.

@alfajackal Sorry, try all of the procedures that have been suggested in this topic:
              https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/16393/wifi-is-not-working-on-pi-3b-or-pi-3b

Have you tried on more than one different wi-fi (eg, a friend's house)?

Thanks for your reply and providing me this thread, I also read before.

I am able to connect to my WiFi and two other different WiFi’s. None of the mentioned things in the other post applies except of „wifi.region=DE“. The connection is still unstable and breaks for e.g. when transferring ROMs.
I will try setting the region to DE later.

I have a massive issue with these two (compatible) wifi dongles:

                  • TP-Link TL-WN725N
                  • EDIMAX EW-7811UN

Any ideas to fix it? Or recommendations for a better WiFi dongle?

From what I've looked into the compatibility list, your WiFi Dongles are not the best:

Okay, changed wifi.region from US to DE; it already was enabled.

But I think I figured out the issue: It must be my Anker keyboard and mouse! It seems that these two (!) dongles newly make some problems (as already mentioned, it was never a problem in previous versions). After disconnecting the dongles the wifi is stable.

@alfajackal This is probably the case, the compatibility list warns that these dongles have this problem.

                        I know! Because I added that! 😉

So literally I warned myself! Unfortunately I don’t have a time machine... 😂
