Solved Ds emulation?
-
Hello everyone, after using retropie for some time, i decided to come back with recalbox, because of simplicity, but i found no DS emulator yet...
I know that devs think that its not worth becuase of touchscreen but, there are a lot of DS games for DS that work really good on the rasp and doesnt require the touchscreen feature, for example, New super mario, kirby mouse atack, castlevanias (with a hack), pokemon, zeldas (with a hack that work amazing), etc that doesnt need touchscreen to be enjoyed.
Maybe there could be a way to add DS system to recalbox, it would be amazing.
Thank you for your time

@8bit_astronaut recalbox x86 supports nintendo ds, see https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Board-Compatibility-(EN)
If there would be an open source nds emulator which is playable on lower devices, it would be added. -
@paradadf what about drastic and desmume? those are in retropie and work fine

@8bit_astronaut said in Ds emulation?:
@paradadf what about drastic and desmume? those are in retropie and work fine
drastic is closed source, so can't be added to recalbox and desmume (available on x86 recalbox's version) is running a about 5fps on rpi3, so it is useless to add it.

@rockaddicted I was wondering how retropie can use close source emulators ?

@rockaddicted but it's legal ?

@Gaetan
on a expliqué à mainte reprise notre philiosophie si un emulateur n'est pas open source on l'ajoute pas inutile de continuer cette conversion.retropie fait ses propres choix va leur poser la question MERCI.
