Problem using rclone mounted folder with games
Hi, friends. I am trying to use rclone to mount remote folders with roms (archive and myrient). I will not provide links from obvious reasons.
I use custom.sh script with following parametrized line in loop:
rclone mount ${rom[1]} /recalbox/share/roms/${rom[0]} --config=/recalbox/share/system/.config/rclone/rclone.conf --no-checksum --no-modtime --attr-timeout 100h --dir-cache-time 100h --poll-interval 100h --vfs-cache-mode full --allow-non-empty --daemon
After mount (I have to run that script manually, cause it is not run at the boot either) I see my mounted roms in shared game folders, like atari2600 etc.
I see those games in Recalbox Manager but not in my collection even after updating game list. So, what is the problem? What does Recalbox different from e.g. Batocera? In Batocera, I see all my mounted roms and I may play them directly from online source.
Using Recalbox 9 on RPI3 with RGB Dual.

RE: How to get 8.0 with CRT working.
Ok, on the second try it works, even in 480p and it is quite nicely centered, will try some games later.

RE: How to get 8.0 with CRT working.
@slikvik I already have my Pi2scart but cannot set CRT via pi2scart on my RB 8.
After I enable it in settings and reboot, I only got ghosts screen on CRT and ES on HDMI.
After reboot I got no picture on HDMI neither CRT. -
RE: How to get 8.0 with CRT working.
@slikvik well, to say the truth, I do not have my pi2scart yet, hope to get it in a few days so I am not sure how exactly to get it working. I think that the link you gave is right, but maybe I would prefer just to set it via HDMI for the first time (or via composite out, if you do not have/want to connect it via HDMI.

RE: How to get 8.0 with CRT working.
@slikvik Yes, I believe you have to run it using HDMI and enable desired CRT config. You may also manually edit retroarch-crt-config.txt, but this is preferred way, as I read the documentation.

RE: Black borders (up and down) recalbox 8 + pi2scart + crt
@0zzy OK, and does that problem occur on all PAL games or just a few PAL games? I am trying to understand, cause I will apparently have similar problem in a few days after I get my pi2scart.

RE: Black borders (up and down) recalbox 8 + pi2scart + crt
@0zzy I have not a solution, I just noticed that I cannot play PAL games for Atari 7800, they just do not start, I dont know why.
About your question, you mean that you cannot play PAL games on full screen, right? I remember that some PAL Atari 2600 games are bad conversion that only use a part of the lines of PAL system, it means they are in NTSC resolution but displayed in PAL standard with higher resolution.
Do you have a problem with just few PAL games or all ?

RE: Recalbox 8.0: (ERROR) : [SDL2] Fatal error initializing SDL2
@fh1105 I guess you are using composite out. Please, check this solution, it worked for me

RE: Black borders (up and down) recalbox 8 + pi2scart + crt
Have you tried it on Recalbox 7.2.2 too?

RE: Scrapper - reboot recalbox when screenscrapper quotat exceeded
I confirm this issue. I just think that it does not restart Recalbox, but just restart Emulationstation.

RE: Télécharger anciennes images
I am sorry, I did not realize I am in a French part of the forum (I just noticed this new post that I was interested in, I was able to understand its title). Also, my French is very bad (I learned French for just half year some 20 years ago, so I should use google translate and it will be worse than English) so I think I stop writing to this thread. I understand you and I am sorry. Just wanted to help the people like me. Peace. Recalbox is great software, but I still prefer 7.2.2, sorry for that. Keep up good work.

RE: Télécharger anciennes images
I am very sorry for providing the link to archive that contains the previous version, but I really think that some users may want just working system with the functions that worked before. I do not want to sound rude, I am sorry if I do, it is not my intention at all. But, I was just disappointed that RB8 has the problems with composite output (it is the simplest way how to connect CRT TV, for sure) and also I found a problem with overscan and also read a lot of another problems that other users are experiencing.
So, please, let us to use the previous version that just works while fixing the bugs from 8.0 version. -
Overscan does not work on Recalbox 8
Hi, friends, I had the problem that the composite out did not work on Rpi3b, but it was solved by some workaround:
https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/25440/emulationstation-does-not-start-on-rpi3b-on-rb8-using-compositeNow I have the problem that I cannot enable overscan for my beloved CRT TV. I need to use it cause the picture is bigger than my screen, lol, so I used it it 7.2.2 and it worked perfectly. Now when I enable it in the advanced menu, it just does not do anything, the picture is still way bigger than my CRT display. Any idea how to fix it? I downgraded to 7.2.2 for now, cause I really need it.
Thanks for any idea.

RE: Backing up Recalbox SD card on Windows question about multiple drive letters
I think you should just backup your share drive, cause it only concains all the games and everything yours. If you use Linux, you can easily backup whole SD card using DD command.

RE: emulationstation does not start on RPi3b on RB8 using composite
Ok, this workaround works, thank you very much for the research! https://gitlab.com/recalbox/recalbox/-/issues/2059

RE: Recalbox 8.0 Beta!
@gianpaoloracca I also have the problem with 8.0 so I found 7.2.2 archived version. Enjoy

RE: emulationstation does not start on RPi3b on RB8 using composite
@zing Thank you, but this guide works only for 7.2.2, not for 8, as I previously told in the first post.
