Unfortunately I'm on standby waiting for fixes and features i need with my themes, seems recalbox team is on standby as well with theming, no much news on this side for a while.
For now standard GPICase theme (320x240) should work well i guess

Have you tried 720p and setting recalbox emulationstation resolution to 1280x720 from recalbox advanced settings?

Ce réglage vient de recalbox et pas du theme (même s'il affecte el theme) du coup de mon coté je peux rien faire il faut plutot poser la question a l team recalbox

Hi and welcome to Next Slide theme for Recalbox

This theme is yet to be released, this a teasing of what to expect when it will be released.

This theme is designed to display a full screen carousel with system images that match a game box illustration or artwork at the time game was released. All systems will randomly display a different game theme each time Recalbox is started (at least 2 game themes are available for each system).
It is based on recabox-next theme so you'll get all advantages of it (region settings, game list layout settings, etc..) + several options so you can get a visual that suits you.

@nayok je te confirme que non du coup, c'est pas si simple car dans ce cas il s'agit pas de charger juste une image mais de créer une composition d'images à partir d'un fichier de configuration

Il faut utiliser Skraper pour le moment, regardes la doc du thème

Indeed changing image weight has no impact, if you want to have an impact you need to change image size/resolution, GPU doesn't care about weight but about pixels count
That's why i have different resolutions available for the theme, PI user should use 720p or 480p as mentionned from the documentation

@lhari84 Indeed the problem is not memory quantity but how ES is build so 2,4 or 8 go memory is the same and it's still recomanded to use 720p/480p for pi user
A new optimized version is on its way but need to be patient
