mais pour l'instant.... ca ne marche pas

Tout d'abord merci pour le travail que vous fournissez et le bonheur de jouer aux anciens chef d'oeuvre.

J'ai depuis longtemps pour projet de créer une borne d'arcade dual Boot Recalbox/Windows Steam Big picture.

J'ai enfin eu le temps de m'y plonger et j'ai voulu utiliser ce tutoriel pour le créer :

Cependant au moment de l'installation de Recalbox une erreur apparaît :

mv: can't rename /recalbox/share/systel/logs/virtualgamepades.log' : No such file or directory

INIT: ENtering runevel: 3
Find the server at: http://localhost:80/

xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused
xinit: server error

J'avais également sinon essayé de le mettre sur clé et de choisir de booter sur la clé mais recalbox est horriblement lent dans ce cas.

J'ai voulu repasser à des versions précédentes mais la lenteur est toujours là (6.1)

Pour info ma config PC est :
Asus Z97-A
Intel I7 4790K
HIS R9 270 iPower IceQ X² Turbo Boost Clock 2GB GDDR5
8Go Ram

J'ai testé ta méthode, je n'ai pas au départ la 4eme partition boot qui est générée décrite à l'étape 8
J'utilise une verion plus récente de Ubuntu

Lorsque je reboot ensuite en choisissant verbose j'arrive à :

Any idea how to solve that ?

Hi everyone

I'm actually facing a small problem on a sideproject.
Doing a very small gamestation with pi zero w.

I'm testing it with a microsoft usb controller (that has always perfectly work on my main raspberry pi 3 gamestation).
The controller works for the first 30 seconds of game and then it's like the pi loses it.

On emulator like snes i can unplug and plug back but on neo geo it doesn't work.

I've tried to set the max usb current to 1 thinking it might be a power loss but it doesn't change anything.

After another test, it seems that it happens only when i use left thumb stick. Like the signal gets blocked (i can hve my character staying crouched, or wlaking straight and nothing stops it).

Could it have a link with the fact that for stick we only confiure up and left now ?

Do you have any clue about this problem ? I haven't seen it on the forum

Ok so i've been trying what idarius said.

I just let the aspect on 3 cause my screen is 16:9

For the dreamcast emulator and playstation (let's say next gen :p) it works perfectly great !
Better image scaling and centered !

For the rest it's ok, it's just that i think it's a too big screen to play retro games.
The only games who do not fit well on the screen are really old shoot'em up like 19XX

As i want to include my screen in a portable console (that will work like the switch console) i'll try a 5inch screen and give you an update if it's better if you are interested.

So i've been trying a few settings now and the first "problem" of the screen is that it is a 16/9
If i change the ratio and not the videomode the resulte is ok on many emulators except the dreamcast one.
The dreamcast one doesn't center the image on his own.

Do you know if there is a way to make a padding or something like that please ?

Is there also a way to enter a custom resolution ?

I've been reading several posts on these screens.
I bought one and have entered the codelines that i found in this topic and also tried it with 1024 600 instead of 800 480

So the recalbox interface is fine,
but as soon as i open a rom on different emulators, i always have a left margin and an up small one...

If i change the global.videomode to default then it doesn't fit the whole screen and having a 7inch screen is then useless

When there is a margin, the global size of the image is much better.

Any idea please ?
