@zing If that logic is good for you, so is good for me.

Recalbox is bugged, cause here doesn't works: so I discourage use it, cause official community doesn't help, but simply say "in my house, it works, so no problem".

Try this:

• load recalbox
• connect gamepad via bt (ok, works)
• play some games (neogeo) --> VERY IMPORTANT
• back to ES
• turn off gamepad
• turn on again: does it reconnect? In my case, NO, NEVER
• try to connect via usb cable: does it works? NO
• try to use virtual gamepad: does it works? NO

Try that and let me know.

If I didn't play any games, gamepad reconnection works well even after turn off, virtual gamepad works, and even via usb cable... so the problem is recalbox, that after game quit, mess up something.

This issue happen with virtual gamepad, wired gamepad and bt gamepad...

With 7.2 at least virtual gamepad works again, so I was able to pair again controller without turn RPI4 off/on.
