Hey I want to set up recalbox on a brand new pi3 but im wondering do I need to do anything special with the first boot up? or can I just load the files onto the SD and install it right away?

A game I want to get for mame says its needs MAME 0.133 BIOS Pack, Can I download that and drop it in my bios folder and thats all?

I really like the box/cartridge/screenshot overlay along with the arcade cabinet, Too bad I have no idea what I am doing hahah

If I want to use this theme and get the box art and screen shot combo to show for consoles and the arcade cabinets for MAME to show do I need to scrap all the roms with the universal XML scraper?

@Lockorm I had a problem getting access to the unused space on my SD card and none of the partition sotware anyone rcomomned to me worked so I just connected to my Pi over my network and draged and dropped all the files onto my desktop and did a fresh format on my SD card and fresh install of recalbox and just dragged the files I took from the Pi that are on my desktop to the Pi with the fresh install and it worked perfect, Took a few hours but I was able to go from a 16gig to a 32gig card that way, Anything else anyone said wouldn't work.

@Substring Took a couple hours but it worked! Managed to upgrade without any special programs

@voljega Yeah, I kinda confused myself not knowing there is Recalbox, Emulationstation and Retroarch plus for a while I thought I was using retropie cus that's what the guy told me he loaded onto it but its not its recalbox he installed. The guy I got this through was kinda shady and before I got this I have never used or heard of any of these programs. He told me I couldn't clone my SD card so I couldn't re sell and pirate it and told me I could never upgrade to bigger SD card but I managed to figured that out without disk partition merging or anything so yeah pardon my noob ness hahah

@AS There was 3 other files besides the ROM, splatter.hi, splatter.cfg and splatter.nv so I just moved them out of the ROM folder and the game worked fine. Any idea what those files might be for?

@AS I was playing around with the screen ratios in the emulation station video menu could than have messed it up somehow?

Hey I was just playing Splatterhouse on MAME and left the game for a couple mins and went back to play it more and it just loads a black screen now after the first screen, When I press start or select it makes a sound like a coin being inserted and just stays on a black screen and I have to hotkey out., Any ideas? Only thing I did diff was to enable the RetroAchievements so I disabled them and still no luck

@Substring Could I do a new setup on my new SD card and copy the roms and bios over my network and re add them manually to the new cards setup over my network

@Substring Dont have linux so dont know what to do,. Lots of stuff I read made it seems like its a simple thing to do and could just use a program like mini tool partition wizard
