SVG images for background artwork
-
I'm currently working on yet another theme for Recalbox. I've taken inspiration from aloshi's theme (http://aloshi.com/emulationstation) and think I might be able to do something cool with a 'clean' look. This has led me to teach myself how to use SVG software such as Inkscape and Adobe Illustrator. Although I can create a JPG image from my design and save it at the correct resolution I was hoping to use SVG files instead in order to save system memory. I'm hitting one issue and hoping someone here knows the answer. SVG files display and gradients appear to work, however, glow effects don't. I'm not sure if this is something to do with the file format and I need to use specific settings, or a limitation of EmulationStation. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi @nickdj ! Nice to see you are on a new theme I think this might come from the SVG lib used in emulationstation wich is nanosvg. We should verify if it supports glows effects.

Don't know if these files will attach but here's a little teaser on the new theme
