Its very easy, no coding required, but its not free unfortunately. you will need to purchase the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows, I have one here and I can confirm it works pretty well on recalbox. http://support.xbox.com/en-HK/xbox-on-other-devices/windows/xbox-360-wireless-gaming-receiver-windows however there is currently some problems that needs to be improve: (driver issue?) 1. I cannot fully complete the button setup, it does not fully recognize the LT and RT buttons, it seems to think that I am holding a button when I press another one, as a result it will skip button R2 automatically as soon as I finish setting up L2. Other then that it just works fine. 2. The green circle on the guide button (player indicator) keeps flashing. Normally you should only see one of the four green lights turns on. 3. It reports 4 controller connected, even when you only have 1. 4. Sometimes when you finish the button setup and hit OK or BACK, the screen goes black and system halts, need power down to reset, and the settings were not saved correctly. I am not 100% sure about this, but this problem shows up frequently when I tries to setup 2 or more xbox360 controllers. Even the wired controller or wired joysticks have the same behavior. hope thing will get sorted out soon. 🙂

I have this issue also seen with the Logitech F710 Controller. You can then go up with the arrow keys on a connected keyboard and press this button again on the Controller. With this procedure I could complete the whole keymapping.

Hello, I'm glad to hear that the wireless xbox 360 controller works but unfortunately I'm not able to make it work at home. Can you tell me what is the procedure to follow from the beginning? Thanks a lot.

Hi Supaaman, you do have the "Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows" right? The procedure is the same as using it on windows, except you don't need to install any software. Just plug, connect, and play. also be aware that there is a lot of fake mock up receiver on the market, make sure you get a real one.

This is exactly what I did and I try reinstalling Recalbox but same issue. I bough my Wireless gaming receiver several years ago and it worked, I tried on my Macbook Air and no issue.

@Supaaman: I do have exactly the same dongle. I've just verified. The dongle is recognized correctly. You can verify when you plug in the dongle and execute dmesg from commandline. You should get something simmilar to this:

                              [ 131.098217] usb 1-1.5: new full-speed USB device number 6 using dwc_otg

The controller is alwas flashing on the XBOX buton, even after pressing the sync buttons on both sides. You can try to configure the controller via emulationstation, and press the A butten and you should see that emulationstation does recognize your controler. There is an issue with the HOTKEY assignmend in emulationstation.

I saw the 3.2.7 version and tried it, everything works perfectly but I notice an issue for me: I don't have any USB keyboard (only mouse) so I cannot enter the information for my Wifi network. Is there a way to add a virtual keyboard usable by the Xbox 360 controller? Perhaps I ask to much but It will be great 🙂 Thanks a lot for all the time you spend on this project!
