Wii U Pro Controller via internal bluetooth?
-
thank you for your quick response!
i guess if i ever happen to have a spare wii u pro controller or can get one for cheap, i'll send it your way :).
in the meantime can someone recommend a bluetooth dongle that works with the wii u pro controller? maybe some of you have a working setup.
the recalbox wiki lists so many bluetooth dongles that it is hard for me to decide. so if someone has had good experiences with one particular dongle, let me know.cheers tim
ps.: just another idea: couldn't you just implement retropie's solution and implement it in recalbox (sorry if that is a totally noobish idea, i got no clue of such things)

I also want to set up a Wii U Pro controller. I'm hope big to hold out until the onboard Bluetooth is supported, but not sure how long that will be...so I'm thinking of buying a dongle. Which one did you decide to buy?

This is not a matter of internal bluetooth or not (which is not a very good adapter, so to say ...), but how Linux sees it (mouse ? keyboard ? joystick ?) And what is missing to make it work 100%

finally my wii u pro controller arrived in the mail today. first i tried it to pair without any dongle in recalbox 4.0. as expected nothing.
then i plugged in a random dongle i found in one of my drawers. plugged that baby in one of the usb ports, booted up recalbox, went to the menu to pair it. and IT WORKED. no hassle, no nothing. it works 100% as far as i can tell. i managed to configure every button and it works in menu as well as in-game.
so i don't think you need to fix anything but to enable the internal bluetooth.
for everyone who is interested in what bluetooth dongle i used: "logilink bt0013".
thank all of you again for your time.
happy gaming!
cheers

timWell, I was planning to wait until 4.1 to use my Wii U Pro controller, but then I read your post. I dug out an old Bluetooth adapter that's about 8 years old, plugged it in, and the Wii U Pro controller paired/configured perfectly. Thanks!

@tifsmo GERAT ! thanks ! That way the controller will be mapped by default on a next release

I'm having trouble connecting my wiiU pro controller too. I can get it connected via bluetoothctl but it recognises it as a wii remote instead of the wii u controller. Only the +, - and home buttons work and I cannot map anything else. Anyone had a similar issue? Running recalbox from the XU4
