      I've been following this guide when connecting wires to the GPIO pins. The original Mega Drive / Genesis controller has an A-B-C button layout.

      The guide says nothing about the C button, nor does the emulationstation setup. How do I configure the C button? Do Y configure it as X, Y, Select?

      Thanks!

        I really don't see what you are trying to achieve. Are you wiring each Megadrive button? If so, put the C to Y.

        There was a way to connect DB9 controllers but I can't find it back. Check on the forum.

          anyway, using an original MD pad has a BIG drawback : no selct key, no hotkey. And the most logical solution was to use the DB9 driver, not the GPIO one ...

            @supernature2k I'm refurbishing an old arcade cabinet, using the original controls, which limits me to 3 buttons. I am therefore only going to emulate the Mega Drive, as it's perfect for this scenario. I will try connecting it to Y.

              Wiring the Mega Drive C button to Y solved the problem... I had it wired to Select (because why not? :P)

              Maybe it should be written in the guide?

                @CaffeineFiend what about 6-buttons megadrive games ?
