Coping roms directly to SD card
-
I'm using Recalbox 4.0 beta3, and it seems that it's not possible anymore to simply copy the roms in the roms directory in the SD card using an SD card reader. Can someone confirm this?

What is it your computer's OS ? MacOS : need to add a software to mount EXT4 partitions Windows : no ways to do Linux : Some kernels aren't configured to mount 8 partition on the same device or to mount "noobs" sdcards You can use a usb stick, formated with the FS of your choice (FAT32, NTFS, EXT4) to stock your share partition and add your roms with your computer. https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Use-an-external-usb-storage-device-on-recalbox-(EN)

I just created a page on the Wiki that might be helpful. https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Copy-roms-from-a-Computer-to-the-SD-Card-using-an-USB-Stick-(or-External-Hard-Drive)

I'm on MacOS, and I already have the software to mount EXT4 partitions; I used to do this before without any problems. Now, when I add the roms in the share folder, nothing happens. I'm obviously doing something wrong.

I tried this procedure, with no success. This was a very useful, plug-and-play and fast option, how come it's so hard now? Or perhaps I'm doing something wrong, can somebody help me?

If you would explain what you did, it would be easier to help you. What didn't work from the steps listed there? I copy my roms that way without any problem.
