Throat slowdowns in Raspberry 3b +
-
Hi, I am a beginner in this recalbox although I have been using this for a while,
So lately I have had a couple of doubts, the first is, the sonic CD suffers from small slowdowns at certain points always or has a solution?, and another is that yes the metal slug there is some way to run them without slowdowns?, because it happens to everyone in parts of many shots or tanks and so on. All this answer me for fools because the truth that I have looked in forums and others and the sonic cd I have not seen a solution and the metal slug I do not understand people PD: I use Raspberry Pi 3b + with recalbox 7.2

sonic CD
From the few reports I found, it is not a common problem, it is probably related to BIOS or ROM, have you tried to change the default core?
metal slug
Which? I believe that in arcade it works well, as long as you have the romset corresponding to the core.

@adrikadh
Sonic CD have slowdowns also on original hardware.
I use genesisplusgx core, I think it's more accurate than picodrive.
In the core options you can emulate a software overclock of the MD/MCD wich it eliminate slowdowns.I think it's also the same for metal slug

@zing I use the correct romset and try others, but doesnt work correctly

I think it's also the same for metal slugIf this happens on the original hardware, I don't think it's exactly a problem, so I don't believe there is a solution in the emulation.
Searching quickly I saw some users cite a hack called "Sonic CD Pal to NTSC Complete Patch", which seems to have some improvements, and can be used in conjunction with the "Sonic CD++" hack, which seems to be well evaluated. But you would need test, I don't play this game, and I didn't even know that this problem existed on the original hardware, so I can't guarantee anything.
