Renaming Game Roms

Sorry, this might be a question for Skraper forum.

I scrape all my game and what I am left with is a list of games that have addition text after the name:

dig dug (ver 2)
Defender (us copy)
Mortal Kombat (Jap ver 1 dup)

I would like to easily strip off everything after the the name of the game, can I edit game list.xml without doing harm?

Will it be over written after I do another scrape?

@Zing Thank you. I found the option in Skraper to strip everything but the game name.
