No sound after adding roms

So I have added the boot file to my usb and I am able to get it running on my old pc. However, whenever I am adding Roms to the recalbox file (I’ve used internal, hdd, and usb options) the sound stops working. The Roms run fine but there is no more sound. I have made sure the mixer is all up to snub through ssh and the volume on the computer works fine. Like I said, it works perfect with the preloaded stuff but once I add even a single rom the sound disabled for everything in recalbox. I even added sound files to kodi and they will play but no sound. Please help.
