hi i am new to using recalbox i have the latest version of it i know how to use everything but i dont know how to upload new emulators on the build can anyone help me in a step by step process please im building this for my dad for christmas.

Recalbox does not allow adding new emulators, not for ordinary users. You would have to recompile the system, which is extremely difficult and only the users with advanced knowledge know how to do, basically only the developers do this.
