Oui je n'ai pas fait les tests sur piFBA mais apparemment les performances sont bien meilleures que sur FBA_libretro En tout cas ça ne me rassure pas oour mame2010

Mame078 correction in future 4.0.0beta3 : games now working (previously not launching at all, now better but not perfect) : Splatterhouse, Mach Breakers - Numan Athletics 2, Steel Gunner, Pac-Mania,Marchen Maze, Cyber Sled, The Outfoxies, Shadowland, Cosmo Gang The Video, Space Invaders 95 Splatterhouse, Marchen Maze and MArchen Marze now work perfectly

What a fantastic post thanks for all the effort in creating the spreadsheet I was getting fed up with mame with roms that did not work. I really do appreaciate your efforts. I want to keep my mame list to working ones too ! I have done a sega and snes and PC engine top 100 games so far and just using those roms rather than the full sets. Anyway next time you post your spreadsheet can you add .zip to the rom name, just would save some time when pulling the roms out ! Anyway let me give something back to the community . For those who have a pi3 and a full set of mame078 and just want to pull the GREEN working roms out see the attached games list. Similar to what was done on previous post but hopefully a bit easier for people. You need to put your full 078 rom set in a folder on windows called c:\mame78 then created a new folder c:\venom I cant post a batch file. So open notepad and copy and paste the below and save as Venom.BAT into Venom folder. @echo off set src_folder=c:\mame78\ set dst_folder=c:\venom\ for /f "tokens=*" %%i in (venom.txt) DO xcopy "%src_folder%%%i" "%dst_folder%" Put the attached venom.txt in the C:\venom folder to. It reads the gamelist (venom.txt) I have created from the spreadsheet with only the working roms from the pi3 tab You need to put your full 078 rom set in c:\mame78 then created a folder c:\venom Enjoy. The list was taken today 06th April 2016 Use Venom.txt I posted the other which is a dupicate by mistake and cant seem to remove it !

Well adding the .zip would not be simple now but there's simple way to do that in your batch I think ? Also, not adding .zip in the listing has a purpose because the rom name without .zip can be used for other things : retrieving automatically config files or media files which would have the same name as the rom but not the same extension, all things which could appear and be usable in future recalbox version not far around the corner

No worries, I can work on the batch file, and get it working. How do we know when you update a game to working or if sheet changes, shall I just check the spreddie out each month ? Hope people find it useful .

Most of the time I change one of the messages on the right in the first tab. But game status won't change anytime soon now, if it's not working, it's not working... The arrival of Pi3 and correction of few bugs in mame078.so (which will be integrated in next beta) changed a few things but there are not further corrections non the horizon for now. What I am doing some times is adding some new games, but from now on I will track that on first tab

Uppercase extension don't work anymore in 4.0.0 so you must add bios files with .zip and hide them with ES menu

Thats ok just my lazy writing of .ZIP when I wrote the extension. There are still some games that are said to be ok that dont load. Pretty sure that will be my end as I have a raspberry pi 3 that it has been tested on. e.g Wonderboy deluxe, bubble bobble and Double dragon 2 (world). I assume if my rom is corrupt I can just grab the rom out a later set and try that ? The games list is so much better saving me a lot of frutration and only a few I need to try and get working now !

Well I didn't retest everything on Pi3, just the games lagging before, so maybe there are some games not working anymore but that would be highly unlikely For some games, a bug was corrected in mame078 which will be included in next beta and corrects a few games not working correctly before.

Pour info, dans la liste gradius 3 est indiqué comme OK sur Pi2 avec mame 2003 mais en fait il y a de gros ralentissements lors de l'animation de départ (avant de déclancher une partie). Cela s'entend même au niveau de la musique qui ralentit et grésille lorsque le FPS chute. Au moment où l'on commence une partie le phénomène disparaît mais on le retrouve lorsque l'on arrive sur certains boss de fin de niveau et lorsque le nombre de sprites à l'écran augmentent. On peut améliorer les choses en le faisant tourner sous MAME 0.37 mais cela ne le résout pas complètement. Sous FBA le jeu présente le même problème et à cela s'ajoute des problème de gestion des couleurs sur les versions les plus anciennes de FBA Libretro (la .30 et la .34). Avec les versions .36 et .37, les couleurs sont bonnes mais il y a de gros bugs video (en plus des ralentissements constatés sous Mame). Bref avec le Pi2 (même OC) impossible de faire tourner gradius 3 en fullspeed tout le temps quel que soit l'émulateur. Il faudrait voir si il y a une amélioration avec le pi3 pour comparer mais j'ai malheureusement dû rendre celui que l'on m'avait prêté en test au boulot en début de semaine

Gros boulot mais j'ai quelques interrogations... quand je vois que Sol Divide et Street III (n'importe lequel) sont censé tourner sur un Pi3 et FBA_Libretro, chez moi ça rame à mort. J'ai raté un truc?

Bonjour à tous, Un grand merci pour tout ce travail et pour le partage. J'aurais une question. Existe il une solution (script ou programme) pour extraire du dossier d'un romset complet les roms du fichier excel que vous avez fait. Par exemple on a un dossier avec 2000 roms.zip et a partir de la colonne nom de votre fichier excel (mame ou fba) le script sélectionne parmis les roms du dossier les roms correspondant a la liste du fichier excel et les copie dans un dossier. Ce serait parfait et permettrai d'avoir une sélection de roms opérationnel avec un emulateur type sans avoir a la faire a la main. Merci!

I have a cuestion: I make games run smoothly here (pi3-mame2003) MAME folder The following list (pi3-FBA_LIBRETO) where I have to put roms, in the folder FBA_LIBRETO it does not work almost none, in that folder I have to put the .zip from the list (pi3-FBA_LIBRETO). forgive my bad English, Thanks

You'll need the FBA_libretro romset not the mame one for that, please read arcade documentation on the wiki

This is only the start as it doesn't consider the compatibilty with Rpi2 or Rpi3, but I created two batch files to separate (by just copying the roms, originals stay untouched) the full romset between Neo Geo and Parent roms. Just put the .bat files in the same folder with the full romset and execute them.

I used the list for fba 0.2.97.38 from this site, but didn't look at the compatibility itself.
