Bug 18.06.27

I’ve found a bug when I use select and hot key on the same button, some games don’t insert coin, only on coin 2.
Happened in MAME and FBA, someone can confirm?
Games that happened:
MAME - Side Arms
FBA - Pac Man 25th Anniversary Edition.
So far his are the games that I discovered this bug, tested with an USB controller and it works fine w/o problem.
Maybe there are another games but for now I found these two.
PS: one more game, SF3 FBA, can’t coin on both coins.

Got into input test to see and the coin pulse seems to be so fast that the game can’t coin.

Controller-Setup crashes and hangs up to black Screen (with version and small logo)

after stable update the controller-setup dialogue crashes after skipping some buttons reproducible with USB-Controller and 8bitdo NES30 Pro

@substring crash happened while skipping 3-4 buttons (usb controller without joystick), on 8bitdo NES30 Pro did a false button and wanted to skip to cancel also crash after 3-4 times down. i just tried it twice again and everything works fine, so perhabs not so reproducible as i thought.

@substring The same thing happened to me in mame games, I can not enter coins, in games like:

Captain Commando
knight of the round
dungeons & dragons: tower of doom
The King of Dragons
etc.

Not sure if mine is a new bug. Since I updated, I cannot get any sound. Not even theme music at menu selection. In settings, I saw my sound was set to 0%. The sound didn't come back even after I set it to 100%. Tried all sound output methods but none work.

I am running recalbox on a PC using onboard sound output jack. Not through hdmi.

Open kodi and then go to sound settings and try different outputs there until you find the right one.
Then exit kodi and you should have sound again in ES menu and games

Same here! I can´t "insert" coins in mame.

you could try from the terminal/ssh to list your sound cards:

aplay -l

Then assign the correct card accordingly (either from ES or Kodi as @joinski has suggested)

Same here! I can´t "insert" coins in mame.

The "Hotkey"-Button must be not equel to the "Coin"-Button then it works! After I have changed the Hotkey-Button to something else then SELECT (Now it ist the left button (home) on the small side of the FC30 Pro Pad)

I find the same issue today, if select is defined like hotkey in some mame games don't insert coins... In all the older version it worked perfectly... I come back to previous version because in my cabinet I have no more buttons to setup. Let's wait for another update with a solution.

@messa Nothing changed in the input code of fba/mame for this release, so it is either a recalbox issue, or a regression in retroarch (this issue existed ~2 years ago) where the input system was refactored between 1.6.9 and 1.7.3

@barbudreadmon there is a.patch to turn select into hotkey after 10 frames if both are equal, so this could be the faulty one as afterall, it doesn't seem related to fba only
