Bluetooth menu doesn't work Rpi zero W

I'm trying to use the menu for pair bluetooth devices on recalbox 4.1 working on a Raspberry Pi Zero W, but when i select "pair a bluetooth device" appear the black image of recalbox with the version and freeze there. Then i try witn ssh and bluetoothctl and it works perfectly. I want to use the menu. What can i do?

Looks like ES crashed. You could eventually circumvent that by going the manual way (see the wiki). But still, i wonder why it crashed

@substring when I try to re-open ES again from ssh while it's freezed I obtain "Error creating SDL window"
