@voljega said in Problem with recalbox 18.03.30:
please reda wiki and compatibility related to platform, it's only available on x86/x64
probably you had in mind the table?
https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Board-Compatibility-(EN)-
In RetroPie (and Lakka) this emulator works, I understand you have difficulties with it?
-
and another question. what is LIBRETRO, RETROARCH, emulation station. I do not fully understand. Explain, please
-
-
@mr-kilroy we add emulators if they can be reasonnably enjoyable. We could add DS on pi3, but at hardly 15fps, it's not worth
EmulationStation is the software where you choose which game to play
Retroarch is a a multi emulator. Each emulator in itself is called a core.
Libretro is a "programming technology" to make any emulator work with retroarch
-
@substring Thx. Those differences will not be what I choose, Recalbox or Lakka?
-
@mr-kilroy i 'can't help you for your choices, lakka is also a great system, i'm quite close to lakka's developpers
-
@substring THX. It's just that Lakka does not have Kodi, but I do not know how to install it. While I'm sitting on ReсalBox, there are games in it and online cinema

@mr-kilroy april 20th
Good afternoon! Today, on April 20, you said that the update will be today. But it is not, the release was postponed?
-
@mr-kilroy it is always at 20:00 french time, and as they are just a few recalbox to updates, it's usually updated by "wave" you might receive it only tomorrow or sunday
-
@voljega Thank you! And the recalbox itself to be updated or should I use the console? Previously, though the button was "check the update"
-
@mr-kilroy it will prompt you for an update when it is available for your recalbox
-
@mr-kilroy you must format, and bathe your sd card in the blood of kittens you've just sacrificed. Kittens work best, trust me. I tried with female virgins, babies, baby panda ... Nothing is as good as kitten blood to make a successful recalbox upgrade !
/me needs some holidays
-
@voljega Thank you. Tomorrow I'll try.
@Substring An interesting way. If the standard does not work, I will certainly take advantage of your advice. Thank you!

Hi!
Just so you know, on recalbox 18.03.30 for odroid C2, the Sega 32x strangely disappeared from all menu, seems like it has been removed.
There's also a problem with the basic core for the mega CD, which can be resolved by using the Genesisplusgx core. There's also a topic with me and regalia about the c2 version, and how it may be fixed for both 32x and ps1, and even n64, as other cores on Lanka work best for these (picodrive for 32x, pcsx rearmed on ps1 and mupen64plus opengl for n64). As you say you are close to the Lanka programmers, do you think it would be possible to implement those from Lakka in recalbox with their consent? That would be just perfect!
Thanks for all your hard work man!Ps: I'll install the new update and see if there is any change for the c2 and let you know...

Good afternoon! You were right, checked in reсalbox that the update is available. Downloaded 244 MB and updated. The problem is now in another, I'm from 8 am and 12 pm, I'm waiting for when to update. This 4 hours is only 60%. Why is it updated so long? I have a card for 16GB class 10, is the problem in it, or should it be renewed for a long time?
-
@mr-kilroy the upgrade itself ir the download ? Upgrades take about 25mins on my boards
-
@substring I downloaded quickly. But the update took from 8 am to 2 pm
Second question. Why in the recalbox manager you can upload images up to 300 MB, if the standard size of the PS1 disk is 700 MB?
-
@mr-kilroy because the manage is not stable enough to send bigger file and be sure that they are not corrupted, if you want to send bigger file, use WinSCP.
Even better, use external USB key or hard drive
-
Even better, use external USB key or hard drive
and change the way to the flash drive in the system settings? because the reсalbox does not pick up the flash drive as in other OS.

Hi!
Upgraded from 18.03.30 to 18.04.20 on Odroid C2, also did a fresh install but both has the sega 32X disappeared on the menu (and yes, i do have the romsinstalled on the correct folder), it's also not there on the core selection menu of the emulators.
In fact, the folder is not event there on the install (i still have it because i have my roms stored on an external hdd.
Can we hope to have this patched for the next release? The mega CD is also broken with the pre-installed core, have to manually swap it to genesisplusgx to fix the problem and be able to launch a game...
It would be also great to have the psx and n64 fixed, the lakka cores for those work like a charm on the C2 (you can see the video i created for another topic here:
https://youtu.be/hKv1HhCOmYI ). Like i say in this topic (https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/13595/odroid-c2-psx-stuttering-choppy-and-sega-cd-iso-issue/31 ) the cores used on lakka are perfect on the C2, here's the info on them:

Picodrive would work like a charm for the 32x games. What's strange is that recalbox also use PCSX ReARMed, maybe it's a compilation problem... I remember Lakka having the same problem on PSX with the core at launch, but it has been long fixed since then.
Thanks guys!PS: I'll soon post a video of how it runs on the C2 actually, it's really choppy like regalia said, so you can see for yourself.
Hope to see
