      As per
      https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Add-a-start-stop-button-to-your-recalbox-(EN)
      Got this running fine on a RPi. However, can't get this working at all on the XU4.

      Have enabled

      system.power.switch=PIN56PUSH

      in recalbox.conf

      I'm using a shifter shield as per here:

      http://www.hardkernel.com/main/products/prdt_info.php?g_code=G143556253995

      My understanding is that if I bridge the following pin with GND this will cause a power on/off:

      WiringPi# = 9
      Name = SCL1
      GPIO# = 210

      I've measured the resting voltage between these two and it reads either 3.3V or 5V as per the shifter shield setting. However, if I bridge it at either voltage, nothing happens!

      Any ideas? Has the XU4 image had wiring pi and/or compatible scripts installed?

        Apologies for the b*mp, but any ideas?

          @stigzler Sorry I missed your post. These options are only valid for Pi. Anyway, I think the XU4 power button does work as you'd wish

            @Substring - Thanks for the reply. Shame about that. It'd be great if you guys could get the GPIO working the same for the XU4. Problem I have it I want to run a power switch on a case, thus can't use the XU4 one.#

            Also, I use scripts to control other things like a power LED and also reading GPIO states to send pulses out via GPIO out.

            That's really two requests:

            1. Setup the XU4 GPIO to work the same as the Pi3s (to enable power switching and pwr led)
            2. Install wiringpi on the XU4 so we can access within custom.sh for other functions.

            That would be awesome, especially given the XU4 is the superior board performance-wise.

            Cheers to you guys for all your work..

              That's precisely what I thought about when I read your post. It's a little "tricky" to do it, but i think i can manage to do it. But that will be in a few months, got more urgent matters before.

              I have a plan haha 😄

                  Just a friendly reminder/b*mp...

                  Enabling GPIO interface on the Odroid XU4 would be really super useful! Being able to use GPIO controllers, rotary volume control, power, etc etc would be a dream come true!

                  Btw, I LOVE Recalbox and I'm having such fun with it!

                    Glad to see that my rotary volume control port to recalbox is used by others!

                      I'm still hoping that the XU4 still gets as much love as the Pi. I really wanna stick with Recalbox as I love it and made a app for it. However, if things like the GPIO stuff doesn't get sorted will have to consider moving to other images like the custom RetroPie image designed specifically for the XU4.

                      Cummon guys - I know you can do it - yer the best for Pi, just make sure you keep the XU4 stuff on a par - know how hard you all work.

                        @stigzler we never said it's impossible to do, we'd need to rewrite the python crap using wiring pi which, in a sense, is a good good thing for boards that do support it. But this won't happen before a few months. Then i'll ask @OyyoDams if he's ok to do it

                          @Substring - that's great - thank you. I didn't mean to sound ungrateful for what you guys are doing, just keen on ensuring your excellent work is equally on the XU4 - the best front-end for the best hardware.

                            @stigzler no worry pal, but i've already digged a little the subject so i know what to expect from it
