Issue with USB Sound card on RPi Zero W
-
Hi all,
I recently started a GameBoy Zero project, but I struggle with the sound...
I use a basic USB pnp sound card, plugged on the USB port of the RPi Zero W (with the last version of recalbox).
When the system is ON, the sound card flashes with the red led, but no sound comes from the headphone...
I tried the same USB sound card on my laptop and it works like a charm.I tried to configure to alsa.conf to put the card 1 as primary.
In alsamixer, I'm able to select the USB pnp sound card, manage the sound level.
But after the reboot, nothing changed, I don't have any sound coming for the headphone. If anyone has already used this kind of USB Sound card on RPi Zero W, I take any recommendation.
Thx
Bye

@smarti Hi
In ES, just set the sound card as the default device, then reboot -
Hi @Substring
How do you proceed ?
I applied the proc describe here : http://www.knight-of-pi.org/raspberry-pi-enable-an-usb-sound-card-for-raspbian-jessie/But nothing changed.
Thx

@smarti you're not using raspbian, are you ?
As I said : start Recalbox and in EmulationStation, Press start, go to sound options, select your sound device, and reboot
-
Thx @Substring ,
I'm using the last official Recalbox distib. I'v downloaded the img for RPi 1/0.
That was the first thing I've tried.
If I select Auto, Jack or HDMI, the result is always the same : no sound in my headphone. -
@smarti your sound card should appear in the list. If not, i guess it's not recognised. What does
cat /proc/asound/cards
report ? -
