Solved 8Bitdo NES30 Pro won't pair

I'm using Recalbox 4.0.2 and I'm trying to pair my 8Bitdo NES30 pro controller, and I have a Bluetooth dongle but when I pair it. The controller doesn't work, the blue LED light on it is blue as if it were paired but it just doesn't work.

@imnotacucumber the bluetooth pairing process works much much better on 4.1, so you might want to try it.

Anyway, your dongle should be bluetooth 4.0 (at least), lower versions aren't always compatible.
I haven't tried the NES30 Pro firmware 4.0 yet, but it should work just fine. Before that firmware the controller needed to be started jst by pressing POWER, maybe something has changed and it needs to be turned on in a different mode?
Sometimes (in recalbox 4.1 for example) you need you try paring (searching) blueetoth devices a few times until it appears on the list. Your controller needs to be active during that process.
Last, you con try pressing the RESET button (next to POWER) for at least 3 seconds to forget all previously paired devices (in the controller itself).

@paradadf Well for one I had it paired on my phone while trying to use it with my Pi. Then also I pressed the pairing button on the controller and then it worked so maybe it wasn't in pairing mode before?

@imnotacucumber you can't have it paired to more than one device at the same time.
