I've had some of those before. I've found they're horrible quality and work when they want too.

*i just tested this on my PC and even though it says "charger" on the link, i connected keyboard and mouse to it and it worked perfectly
@Cheddar you can't compare with windows ...
Could be a current putput problem, try increasing it to 1A

I did what you suggested, now 1 of the 4 usb exits is working but the other 3 remain dead
