.col roms
-
@paradadf I did rename them to .col
none of them work
-
@tdelios you must then find .col roms. There nothing else to say.
-
@paradadf Do you have a few .col files kicking around that the Developers tested with that they can share to community?
My thoughts are that the Dev Team incorporated the colecovision emulator into Recallbox but never tested it against any rom files.

Doh ... You're so mean Your guess is just totally wrong. Despite we can't test every possible situation, we do test evolutions such as adding a core ...

did you at least added the bios file as explained in the
read_me.txt
file ? https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-buildroot/blob/rb-4.1.X/board/recalbox/fsoverlay/recalbox/share_init/roms/colecovision/_readme.txt#L11 -
@rockaddicted I have not done that, but that brings up another great point. The entire 'bios' steps of adding the 'databases' and 'machines' folder should have been part of the installation process and not a manual process after the fact. This would be a great feature enhancement request to be added to the 4.1 release.

@Substring sorry substring, didn't sound to be mean.. I've just worked with RetroPie in the past and ran into so many of features being implemented but not tested.. which is the reason why I switched over to Recalbox..

Now you've risen an eyebrow here ... what do you mean ?
-
@Substring As per your post providing the link which the readme.txt file indicates that I need to download the zip file, extract the contents of the 2 folders (machine & database) and then add those 2 folders to the bios folder of my recalbox.
Why does it require a manual effort. Should it not be part of the installation that to have the machine and database folders as part of the bios already in place? If not, at least do like RetroPie does and provide an add-on screen that allows the user to flick a switch and have it automatically do this for me.. or if I flick it off, that it uninstalls it as well.
Hope that clears things up.
-
@tdelios unzipping 2 folders for a single system is not worth coding a switch I'd say ... Everything is documented where it should be
Still, you were used to retropie and want to enjoy again your past habbits. Think different, think
applerecalbox It's not such a big deal, uh ? -
@Substring LOL.. I hear ya.. thanks for the feedback!
